- 5 months 10 days ago Lego Dimensions is a Toys-to-Life mash-up of LEGO versions of multiple licensed properties, inviting players to build real LEGO toys, bring them into the game via a USB-attached Toy Pad, then interact with them to progress in both story-based and open world gameplay. Starting out with LEGO Dimensions requires a starter pack which includes the USB Toy Pad and LEGO Dimensions software. There are two main modes of gameplay - the Walkthrough story mode, and Adventure Worlds. The LEGO Dimensions starter pack includes a story-based game which takes the characters through many of the different worlds in the game. While the starter pack includes three different Minifigures, any characters, Vehicles or Gadgets may be used in the story mode by placing them on the Toy Pad. Beyond just placing Minifigures and Vehicles on the Toy Pad, the toys and toy pad become an integral part of the gameplay as puzzles may require characters to be moved to specific positions on the Toy Pad, or may require that a vehicle be modified by re-assembling it.

Add-on "Level Packs" available for purchase will include new story-based levels. Three Level Packs will be available at launch: The Dr. Who Level Pack will be available November 3rd, 2015, a Ghostbusters Level Pack will be available in January 2016, and a Midway Arcade Level Pack will be available in March 2016. An Adventure World is a free-play area based on a specific property, such as Scooby-Doo, Dr. Who, or The Simpsons. The worlds feature special challenges and quests that will earn Gold Bricks which may be used to upgrade Vehicles and Gadgets. Adventure Worlds must be unlocked by placing a character from that world on the Toy Pad. Once the world is unlocked, any character may be used in it. There are fourteen adventure worlds available in LEGO Dimensions: The Starter Packs are console specific and include:LEGO Batman Movie Parody / / / With the LEGO Batman Movie coming out in about a month, I decided to put the movie's character posters into a propaganda style that seemed more fitting, let me know what you think!

Profits weren't only reaped at the box office, but on store shelves. Lego released “The Lego Movie” sets around the movie’s 2014 launch, which were among the company’s top five most profitable series that year (others included Lego Star Wars and Lego Super Heroes). The movie also ignited new interest in Lego building, boosting overall sales of Lego products. Anticipation is high for “The Lego Batman Movie,” opening Feb. 10. Lego is releasing 18 toy sets tied to the movie, including “The Ultimate Batmobile,” which MarketWatch is exclusively revealing.

The “Ultimate Batmobile” set will be released on June 1 with a retail price of $129.99, Lego says. The set includes eight minifigures of “Lego Batman” characters — Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Polka-Dot Man on a flying disc, Alfred Pennyworth (in Batsuit), Wicked Witch of the West and two Flying Monkeys. The Batmobile divides into four different vehicles — the Batmobile, Batwing, Bat-Tank and Batcycle — and there is a rotating Bat-Signal with a Lego light brick. The Batmobile measures 4 inches high, 14 inches long and 6 inches wide. CUSTOMERS WHO BOUGHT THIS ITEM ALSO BOUGHT OTHER DISPLATES YOU MIGHT An entertaining, if frenetic, vehicle for Arnett’s Bale-inspired Bats that packs plenty of laughs. Just when it appeared we’d reached peak superhero, those wily folks at Warner Bros. find another way to re-package the Caped Crusader and the other denizens of the DC Comics stable – one that also manages to ally them to the world’s most popular toy brand. The result is a riotous follow-up to 2014’s The Lego Movie. It also goes some way towards dispelling the lingering stink from last year’s Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad disappointments, films this one has no qualms about adding to its list of satirical victims. (“Get criminals to fight criminals? That’s a stupid idea!” mutters Batman at one point.)Marvel too gets its fair share of ribbing (check out the password required to enter the Batcave), as do the conventions of superhero movies themselves.

(The film kicks off with Zach Galifianakis’ Joker hijacking a plane full of munitions operated by McGuffin Airlines.)Yet the chief target is the Dark Knight himself, hilariously voiced by Will Arnett as a grumpy churl and preening egotist that helmer Chris McKay (Robot Chicken) delights in undercutting at every opportunity. Our hero’s lonely idea of downtime, we learn, is to microwave lobster thermidor and rewatch Jerry Maguire.Batman clearly needs a bat-buddy, one who duly arrives in the form of orphan Dick Grayson (Michael Cera). The Bat has bigger fish to fry, though – the Joker’s latest scheme to open the Phantom Zone and have its prisoners destroy Gotham forever. How can he be a single parent when everything from Voldemort, the Gremlins and the Creature from the Black Lagoon are dismantling his town? Well, it helps if you have manservant Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) at your side, not to mention “sick new vehicles, codenames… and a kick-ass theme tune!”McKay’s MO is to throw everything at the screen in the hope most of it sticks, be it a Justice League anniversary party or a homage to the Adam West TV show’s habit of word-illustrating its fight scenes.
