AMC on BT TV Mystery thriller Hap and Leonard comes to BT TV on AMC James Purefoy, Michael Kenneth Williams and Christina Hendricks star in the darkly comic US series, based on the novels of Joe R Lansdale.An entire advert break on Saturday night will be Lego-themed - to celebrate the release of The Lego Movie. , Premier Inn and BT have been re-created using the miniature plastic figurines, and the break will be shown during ITV's Dancing On Ice this Sunday night. The 'lego-mercials' takeover are the plastic toy brand's first, and the series of animated commercials will use both characters and bricks to make perfect replicas. Lenny Henry will have the rather amazing experience of seeing himself in miniature for Premier Inn. We can only hope he does the whole bed flop too. The BT advert will see the well known flatmates transformed into plastic, getting their own miniature kitchen. 's Brian the robot may be the easiest to re-create for this, and will move its way up to some plastic cars in a forecourt.




A trailer of the upcoming LEGO Movie will also be showing during the break. The film features the voices of stars such as Will Ferrell and Morgan Freeman, with Chris Pratt taking the lead role. His character Emmet is mistaken for a hero who has to save the world, with a little help from Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman. The stunt, to promote Warner Bros upcoming release of The Lego Movie, will see existing ads recreated with Lego in the high-profile ad break in the middle of Sunday's Dancing on Ice. Remaking films and famous scenes with Lego has become something of a cult activity online, with classics such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman and Monty Python getting the makeover treatment. Actors lending their voices to the film include Morgan Freeman, Jonah Hill, Will Ferrell and Channing Tatum. "The Lego ad break is an inspired and truly innovative media first, one the that captures the very essence of The Lego Movie and does a brilliant job of amplifying this eagerly-awaited title," said Alex Lewis, vice-president and director of marketing at Warner Bros. The Lego ITV takeover is the latest example of a themed ad break, which gives advertisers a chance to stand out from rivals.
