Here is the Texas Law regarding stopping for a school bus with it's lights & stop sign out: "If a road is divided only by a left-turning lane, drivers on both sides of the roadway must stop for school buses with alternating red flashing lights activated. However, if the lanes are separated by an intervening space or physical barrier, only motorists going in the same direction as the bus are required to stop."

This is a TEXAS law and it varies state by state. I believe that most people assume that since it is a 4-laned road, you don't have to stop. Only if there is a raised barrier diving the lanes do you not have to stop.Posted by toRound Rock (WILCO) Rants and RavesAustin, TX, United StatesRJ Jenkins here you go...... the red truck that you see passing the bus as soon as he seen the bus was fixing to stop and put its lights on he hit the gas BEST BIRTHDAY EVER :: We bring the LEGO® bricks!
