Super Cycle Chase18 ReviewsFIND MORE PRODUCTS LIKE THISTHE LEGO® MOVIE™Zoom away from the Robo Police SWAT car in Super Cycle Chase!Action Girl: Wyldstyle and Princess Uni-kitty at the very end. Adaptation Explanation Extrication: Emmet talking to Lord Business in the finale and convincing him to do a HeelFace Turn is kept in the Junior Novel and Video Game, but the context for whynote  isn't. Interestingly, the video game keeps the Plot Twist from the film, but still . Affectionate Parody: The movie frequently (though not completely) parodies summer blockbuster movies. The fact that Everything's Built with LEGO helps, as even the most spectacular explosions and overloaded action sequences end up becoming sillier as a result. Especially the scene with the real-life kid, which Emmet views as an Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever. Allegory Adventure: The movie notably toys with this trope. The entire plot of the film is presented In-Universe as a metaphor for Finn's playtime in his dad's study, which explains why the ancient "relics" of human artifacts can appear alongside LEGO bricks.

However, Emmet, complete with mental voiceover, is able to consciously move himself in this world, albeit with great difficulty. It's left to the viewer's interpretation whether or not the whole movie took place in Finn's head, or if the world of LEGO is its own universe that Finn and Dad can just manipulate. And the Adventure Continues: "We are fwom the pwanet Duplo, and we are hew to destwoy you!" Arc Words: "See everything" is used repeatedly to refer to the power of the Master Builders to see the potential in the pieces around them. Lord Business's obsession with keeping everything "how it is supposed to be." . "Now it's your turn to be the hero." Finn says that to Emmet during his vision, and Emmet says it to Wyldstyle before his Heroic Sacrifice. The power of the Special is... you're special. Artistic License Chemistry: The mineral spirits The Man Upstairs uses to un-Kragle the Lego universe at the end would almost certainly remove the paint used to give minifigs their faces and clothing details, in the same way Lord Business uses nail polish remover to remove Bad Cop's "Good" face.

We can safely assume that, being a Lego connoisseur, he was probably careful with the stuff. Ascended Meme: In the "Behind the Bricks" featurette, Vitruvius talks about how great it is that he's voiced by Morgan Freeman, noting the famous joke that "that man could read the phone book and make it sound interesting." He then proceeds to do just that.Vitruvius: Five five five, three four nine two. Just listen to that rich molasses. You could actually build every scene from The Lego Movie 01.12.2015 :: 4:32PM EST Everything really is awesome in The Lego Movie. Because of the incredible amount of detail the animation team put into each and every scene. Director Chris Miller says he and Phil Lord had this as their goal: that if you”froze any single frame out of the movie, it would actually be something that you could build yourself.” That’s an awfully ambitious goal for a 100-minute film, but that’s exactly what animators accomplished. Designers were able to utilize digital versions of every brick in Lego’s expansive library, says lead animator David Williams.

You get a pretty good sense of that if you pause a particularly action-packed scene in the movie, and it’s even easier to see when you look at a render like this one:Miller wanted everything animated using real (well, real digital, anyway) Lego bricks, and that’s what the CG team gave him. Supervisor Aidan Sarsfeld says that “the film itself is not a cheat. It’s a real Lego block film, all of the things that you see on the screen are 100% Lego blocks.” When you see a wide shot of a cityscape containing dozens or even hundreds of buildings in the film? Sarsfeld assures that each and every one of them is made entirely out of bricks — even down to the smallest of details, like bird cages, garden boxes, and lamps. Miller and Lord didn’t want to sacrifice any realism just because they weren’t stop-motion animating actual bricks. They made sure that bricks in the movie had to look just like yours — with slight color variations, the odd fingerprint smudge, even chips, cracks, and battle damage (most of us have a Benny or two in our collections).

A lot of time was spent studying real Lego and photographing them with macro lenses to give every scene the look of something that had been assembled by hand. Now that you’ve had a behind-the-scenes look, why not see if Miller and Sarsfeld are telling the truth? Go pause your favorite scene and see if you can’t construct an exact replica. subscribe to our newsletter: Subscribing to a newsletter indicates your consent to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Required: hacker, wrench, agility, Uni-Kitty, grapple gun/lasso In the opening area, use the laser turret to open the window that contains the third Instruction Page.

Operate the console inside and play the hacker minigame to open the door in the back. In the room, use a grapple gun or lasso to pull open the door in the upper left. Go inside and repair the machine. Use the nearby agility pad to cross to the center walkway then use a construction worker to operate the switch on the center island. Push the green thing on the left across the newly created bridge to the center island. A new bridge to the right will appear. Use Uni-Kitty to smash the rainbow bricks and build with the remains. Use a female character to follow the agility path to the upper walkway. In the room in the back, push the agility pole to the left. Use the pole to cross the gap. On the other side you'll find a room with another console. Hack it to open the door to the room where the Agility Pants are. After building the ladder on the construction pad, climb up to the next area. On the left wall is an agility course. Climb along the wall and you'll pass under a large window. Drop down onto the beam just past the window and you'll find the Golden Manual sitting on it.

In the alley, head to the back and use a laser on the gold lock to break it. In the back on the left is a console. Successfully hack it to reveal a Golden Manual. Required: laser, Uni-Kitty, Vitruvius At the front of the alley on the left side is another gold lock. Bust it with a laser and use Uni-Kitty to destroy the rainbow brick object beyond and build a launch pad out of the remains. The launch pad will chuck you to the other side of the alley. Climb up the ladder and shim across the blue and white ledge with Vitruvius to reach the Golden Manual. Required: laser, Uni-Kitty, agility In the same area where you find Golden Manual 3 is a staircase. Climb the stairs and use the agility objects to reach the Golden Manual on a balcony on the opposite side of the alley. During the chase sequence, right after Wyldstlye instructs you to shoot the back of a fuel tanker she's hanging off the side of, the game will enter slow motion. Simply hold down the fire button and keep it held down. You will destroy four enemy vehicles and automatically pick up the last Golden Manual.
