It features a behind-the-scenes look at the real LEGO movie set! You’ll have the opportunity to step onto a soundstage, check out actual movie footage and explore some of the awesome models which helped inspire the new and completely original 3D animated adventure, The LEGO Movie.

Walking into The LEGO Movie Experience at LEGOLAND California Resort is like stepping straight into the movie. You get a view of the “basement” as it is portrayed in the movie as well as the different realms described and seen in the film. You’ll can easily spend hours just combing through the different scenes and trying to spot your favorite LEGO characters like Emmet, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Wyldstyle and so, so many more. It’s so much fun to look at all the different scenes and know that you can go home and re-build the set yourself. If you get a chance to visit the new The LEGO Movie Experience, here are a few fun facts to keep in mind: And you’ll have to let me know if this is still there… but the last time I was at The LEGOLAND Hotel they had this huge The LEGO Movie logo in the lobby. I learned that it took LEGO Master Builders approximately two weeks to design the physical model of the movie logo and about four LEGO Master Builders approximately 220 hours to build!

This huge model is a 5-times exact replica of the logo. And if it looks big – that’s because it is. The finished model is 8-feet long, 2.5 feet tall and 2.5 feet deep. It weighs approximately 1,200 pounds and contains about 54,811 LEGO bricks. Take a look at over 50 images of what you can expect to see at The LEGO Movie Experience at LEGOLAND California Resort in the video below or on the Living Mi Vida Loca Facebook page. It’s very cool to see up close, but if you can’t make it, this is the second best way to see it. Star Wars: The Force Awakens isn't the only thing fans have to look forward to, because Disney has just confirmed they're making the much rumoured Han Solo-centred Star Wars spinoff. Erm, can we get a hell yeah?! But that's not even the best news from the announcement. The studio also confirmed that the origin film about a young Han Solo will be directed by The LEGO Movie and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. "This is the first film we've worked on that seems like a good idea to begin with," Chris and Phil said.

"We promise to take risks, to give the audience a fresh experience, and we pledge ourselves to be faithful stewards of these characters who mean so much to us. "This is a dream come true for us. And not the kind of dream where you're late for work and all your clothes are made of pudding, but the kind of dream where you get to make a film with some of the greatest characters ever, in a film franchise you’ve loved since before you can remember having dreams at all." If the directing duo's dreams of pudding clothes and commitment to being faithful stewards isn't enough to convince you they're going to make a killer Star Wars movie, maybe the choice of screenwriters will… Disney also announced Tuesday that the screenplay will be co-written by Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens) and his son Jon Kasdan (Freaks and Geeks and Dawson's Creek). Oh, Lawrence also wrote a flick you may have heard of by the name of Raiders of the (frickin') Ark. How's that for street cred?! According to the press release, the Star Wars spinoff flick will focus on "how young Han Solo became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley", and is slated for release on May 28, 2018. In the meantime, Harrison Ford will reprise the role of Han Solo in JJ Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens, hitting Aussie cinemas December 17, 2015.
