The Almanac says “Winter will be colder than normal, with slightly above-normal precipitation and near-normal snowfall.” The cool, wet weather won’t let up in the Spring either. “April and May will be slightly cooler than normal, with above-normal rainfall.” The hot Summer this year won’t repeat itself. “Summer will be cooler than normal, despite hot periods in early to mid-July and mid- to late August.” Fall weather will be cool too. “September and October will be cooler than normal, with near-normal rainfall.” Take the Farmer’s Almanac long range forecast with a grain of salt. Not only does weather change quickly in Central New York. The Almanac predicted a cold and snowy winter last year and we didn’t see much snow.
