First PTA Meeting of the Year… Travilah Back To School Picnic….September 16th @5-8pmYour Child Says "Fun!" If you’re looking for ways to introduce your child to new and fun experiences, you’ve got to check out Sylvan. Our camps in Stafford aren’t just big on excitement: they’re also big on transformative learning experiences.

The skills your child learns at Sylvan of Stafford — reading, writing and math skills, study skills and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) skills — can make a lasting impact in the classroom and beyond. Our camps not only engage the mind, but are designed to be fun and interactive. Kids just love them! All camps at Sylvan of Stafford have group dynamics, so your child can bring his or her friends or make new ones. We find that when kids are with friends, the learning environment becomes even more engaging. Not to mention, it makes carpooling much easier for busy families, like yours. STEM Camps for grades 1 - 8 In our Robotics camp, your child learns how to build and program a variety of robots using LEGO® bricks and award-winning software. Along the way, your child learns new skills, makes friends and has a blast. (There’s something special about building with LEGO® that makes Robotics camp oh-so-fun.) In our Coding for Kids camp, your child creates his or her own video games and animations.

It’s a really cool way to introduce your child to 21st century skills, such as programming, problem solving and logic. By the end of camp, your child will design a video game that he or she can play with friends. How’s that for cool? In our Engineering camp, your child will love the fun, hands-on projects that explore how machines, super structures and all things that move are built. Your son our daughter will love building moving machines out of LEGO® bricks or amazing structures out of K’NEX — learning concepts and problem solving skills fit for a real engineer. Academic Camps for all ages Study Edge camp As your child’s workload and responsibilities go up, we can help stress come down. In our Study Edge camp, your son or daughter learns how to manage his or her time, get more organized, strategically plan projects and achieve goals. Early Reading Edge camp Looking for ways to get your preschooler or kindergartener ready for elementary school? Using a kid-friendly mix of interactive lessons, fun games and expert teachers, our Early Reading Edge camp can help your child master the basics of reading.
