The Iowa woman who has been missing for over three months was found dead in Minnesota this weekend. Officials said Wednesday that the body found Saturday on an empty lot has been identified as Carrie Elaine Olson, age 29, a woman who was last seen at an Iowa gas station in December. The Dakota County sheriff’s office said the body was discovered in the woods off Presley Circle by the property owner and appeared to have been there fewer than 36 hours. This lot is only accessible by a gravel road in the wooded area in Hastings, Minnesota. “It’s a pretty remote area,” Chief Deputy Tim Leslie said. Officials have yet to release a cause of death, saying only that the investigation is ongiong with Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office, the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office, and the Davenport Police Department, all on case. “We’ve got to determine if there was a murder, if she overdosed, accidental death,” Leslie said. “Those are the things we are trying to figure out right now.”
Police have questioned Olson’s boyfriend, who was spotted driving her car a few days later. Olson’s family said her purse was found inside the car, but no cell phone or wallet. More often than not, we like their version better than the radio’s! Dancing with Justin Timberlake, getting creative like Sia, or belting out Bruno Mars, we are taking it a step further and adding a story to our favorite radio tunes. Inspired by our favorite movies Sing and Trolls, Stages Theatre Company teaching artists and choreographers will work with students to adapt music from popular musicians to create unique and original musical stories for the stage. Focusing on storytelling, Stages teaching artists will guide your young actors through creating a plot structure, developing great characters, and using dynamic stage presence to share a mystical story of finding yourself and your true friends along the way.
