Lego Batman to take over Channel 4 ads A Lego Batman is taking over Channel 4's ad breaks as Warner Bros promotes The Lego Batman Movie. From 4.45pm today until Sunday, the character will appear during the broadcaster’s continuity announcements to provide his own introductions to shows. At times, the ads will appear between shows too. Will Arnett, the actor who provides the voiceover for the character in the film, will also voice the ads. There are 18 animated intros that will be shown across four days in more than 40 ad breaks. It is the first time that Channel 4 has done this. The ads were written by Omnicom’s Drum and produced by Warner Bros Pictures. PHD brokered the deal. In 2014, Warner Bros took over an ad break on ITV to promote The Lego Movie by recreating the ads using Lego. The Lego Batman Movie will be released on 10 February. Martin Gough, deputy marketing director at Warner Bros UK, said: "We are delighted to be able to bring Lego Batman’s hilarity to life in such a contextually perfect and high-profile platform as Channel 4’s peak time schedule.

"Whilst this partnership might not land him a full-time job as a continuity announcer anytime soon, I’m sure it will make a big impact in the run-up to the launch of the movie." We are an independent local charity, promoting the well-being of older people and helping to make later life a more fulfilling and enjoyable experience. We provide three main services, the Activity Centre, Saturday Respite and Help at Home. Our 'Area of Benefit' is defined as: The civil parishes of East Grinstead Town, Ashurst Wood, West Hoathly and Worth, including the villages of Copthorne, Crawley Down, Turners Hill and Sharpthorne.

This broadly means that we cover these postcodes: Age Concern East Grinstead became a company limited by guarantee on 8 September 2008. The assets of the original unincorporated association were transferred into the private limited company on 1 October 2009. The organisation is now known formerly as Age UK East Grinstead & District and is run by an Executive Committee and Chief Officer, with a team of twenty three staff and twelve volunteers. The organisation receives local authority funding from WSCC and MSDC to help support the services offered. The Chief Officer is responsible for the day-to-day running of the organisation and reports to a Board of Trustees who is ultimately responsible for the correct running of the organisation. Swan Mead Activity Centre was a long sought after project of the old East Grinstead Urban District Council which began in its last year before being absorbed by the newly created Mid Sussex District Council in 1974. The current activity centre Swan Mead, was opened on August 31 1974 by Mrs Margaret Lister Williams, the first chairman of the new district council.

The project had been urged on by the town’s original Old Peoples Welfare Committee. Swan Mead gets its name from a field on which the Queens Road cemetery is laid, in turn taking its name from the early 18th century Swan pub which fronted London Road and which was demolished in the early 1960s. Find out more about our activities Saturday Respite – Dementia Support In 2003 Age UK East Grinstead, in partnership with the County Council and the Alzheimer’s Society, expanded its services to cater for a growing unmet need. This new development enabled us to assist carers supporting people living with dementia. The service operates on the first and third Saturday of each month between 10am and 6pm and gives carers the opportunity to bring their loved-ones into a home-from-home and stimulating environment, so that the carers are then free to go and spend some well-earned time partaking in their own leisure or family pursuits, safe in the knowledge that their loved-ones are being looked after by skilled and trained staff.

The days are very much valued by all concerned. The Dementia Support service is currently being ‘part-funded’ by the WSCC Special Carer’s Grant. Find out more about our Dementia Support service The Help at Home Mid Sussex service was successfully established in 1996 and is now delivered by Age UK East Grinstead & District following many requests received by older and vulnerable people who required reputable domiciliary help within their home. This is available to older people and those with disabilities who need assistance in running their home within the Mid Sussex District area. The services provides general housework, shopping at local shops, pension and benefit collection, laundry, ironing and simple sewing repairs.
