The LEGO Batman Movie US Theatrical: Feb 10, 2017 196th All Time, 6th This WeekFranchises: LEGO, BatmanCharacters on BTVA: 46The LEGO Batman Movie: Full, totally insane voice cast unveiled Who lends their voice alongside the likes of Will Arnett's Dark Knight, Michael Cera's Robin, Ralph Fiennes' Alfred, and Rosario Dawson's Batgirl? Monday 6 February 2017 12:46 GMT *WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE AHEAD* The LEGO Batman Movie shares one major facet with its predecessor, 2014's The LEGO Movie: the love of cameos. Warner Bros. has so far done a great job on keeping the lid on exactly who would be making an appearance, and which litany of famous faces would make up the film's vocal cast. A few had already been revealed: Will Arnett returns as Batman, joined here by Michael Cera as Robin, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, Rosario Dawson as Barbara Gordon/ Batgirl, Jenny Slate as Harley Quinn, Zach Galifianakis as the Joker, Mariah Carey as Gotham's Mayor, and Billy Dee Williams as Two-Face.

The film inevitably, however, features many more of DC's classic villains: now revealed to include Conan O'Brien's The Riddler, Jason Mantzoukas' Scarecrow, Zoe Kravitz's Catwoman, Doug Benson's Bane, Kate Micucci's Clayface, and Riki Lindhome's Poison Ivy. There's also the return of The LEGO Movie's Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill as Superman and Green Lantern, alongside Adam Devine's The Flash. But that's not where the cast list ends, far from it. The LEGO Batman Movie also falls in line with the toy brand's love of intellectual property mash-ups by featuring cameos from a host of classic movie villains: prominently featuring Eddie Izzard's Voldemort, Seth Green's King Kong, Jemaine Clement's Sauron, the Gremlins, and the Wicked Witch. Ellie Kemper also voices a character called Phyllis, whose role comes into play during the film's climactic moments. 37 Films to get excited about in 2017 The LEGO Batman Movie hits cinemas 10 February. I'm not sure how anyone can criticize this movie for anything. Its 2 movies in one. The kids see Lego's with ... Zach Galifianakis stated in an interview about voicing the Joker, "It was really fun! I've only done a couple of sessions, it's crazy; I was telling diarrhea jokes in coffee houses ten years ago, so I'm very fortunate."Even when all the villains escape the zone he's not around. The movie's closing credits involved Oh, Hush!'s song "Friends Are Family". The main title of the movie appears at the end of the song, before Batman covers the camera afterwards while commenting. So far we knew that Will Arnett was Batman/Bruce Wayne, Michael Cera was Robin/Dick Grayson, Rosario Dawson was Batgirl/Barbara Gordon, Ralph Fiennes was Alfred, Zach Galifianakis was Joker, Mariah Carey was the Mayor, and Jenny Slate was Harley Quinn. But the film has a much larger cast than those six characters, and now we know the full voice cast for the film. As you’ve seen from the trailers, Joker and Harley Quinn aren’t the only villains Batman will be fighting against (he likes to fight around). The cast list reveals that Conan O’Brien is voicing The Riddler, Jason Mantzoukas is Scarecrow, Doug Benson is Bane, Zoe Kravitz is Catwoman, Kate Micucci is Clayface, and Riki Lindhome is Poison Ivy. Additionally, Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are returning to voice Superman and Green Lantern, respectively with Adam Devine on board to voice The Flash. However, there are also some unexpected characters entering the Batman universe. The cast list reveals that the film contains “The Ubers”, characters from outside the Batman universe.

The film will also include Voldemort (voiced by Eddie Izzard), King Kong (voiced by Seth Green), Sauron (voiced by Jemaine Clement), and a character named “Phyllis” (voiced by Ellie Kemper). It’s unclear how these characters will factor into the plot, and it’s possible that The LEGO Batman Movie could pull a move like The LEGO Movie where we head into the real world and that’s how the crossover happens. Or, as The LEGO Movie has already established, worlds can intersect, and that’s how the “ubers” come into play. The LEGO Batman Movie opens on Friday. In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble—LEGO® Batman—stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham City, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

'The Lego Batman Movie': Meet the Voices Behind Each Animated Character Michael Cera, Ralph Fiennes, Zach Galifianakis, Jenny Slate, Rosario Dawson, Mariah Carey and Billy Dee Williams join Will Arnett's Lego Batman world. From the same team that worked on The Lego Movie comes The Lego Batman Movie, an animated adventure with Batman as the leading superhero. Will Arnett reprises his role as the superhero, portrayed here as a stubborn vigilante refusing to have any help. In the new movie, Batman is faced with the challenge of taking down Gotham City’s biggest threat, the Joker (Zach Galifianakis). Desperate to defeat the colorful culprit, Batman must learn to sacrifice his pride and work with others to keep Gotham City safe. The new group of characters ready to battle alongside Batman includes Ralph Fiennes’ loyal Alfred Pennyworth, Rosario Dawson’s brave Batgirl and Michael Cera’s sidekick Robin. Find out more about the performers below. Will Arnett reprises his role from The Lego Movie as the voice of the film’s leading character, Batman/Bruce Wayne.

While in the first film, Batman added a comic relief and helped Emmet (Chris Pratt) take down evil tyrant Lord Business (Will Ferrell), this time around Batman has his own big-screen adventure. Batman returns to save Gotham City from being taken over by the Joker (Zach Galifianakis). Arnett also voiced characters in Despicable Me and Ratatouille. Jenny Slate voices the Joker’s confidant, the mischievous Harley Quinn. It's not her first time voicing a role. She also is Tammy on the TV series Bob’s Burgers and had voice roles in The Secret Life of Pets (as the voice of Gidget) and Zootopia (as the voice of Bellwether). Slate will also voice a role in Despicable Me 3, set for release in June. Oscar nominee Ralph Fiennes voices the character Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s childhood legal guardian and butler in the DC Comics and action films. Never failing to provide comical relief with his somewhat sarcastic attitude, Pennyworth guides Bruce as he carries out his superhero duties.

Fiennes recently voiced a character in Kubo and the Two Strings. Barbara Gordon, the daughter of police commissioner James Gordon and who later becomes fellow crime fighter Batgirl, is voiced by Rosario Dawson. Dawson next stars as Claire Temple in the Netflix original series The Defenders, premiering later this year. Zach Galifianakis will voice Batman’s best-known foe, the Joker. In the film, the Joker attempts to take over Gotham City, but not without facing Batman first. The Hangover actor will next star in the films Tulip Fever and A Wrinkle in Time. Michael Cera voices Robin, the yang to Batman/Bruce’s yin. The Juno also has signed on to appear in Twin Peaks later  this year, as well as star alongside Rob Lowe and Salma Hayek in How to Be a Latin Lover, set for an April release. Five-time Grammy winner Mariah Carey voices Mayor McCaskill. In previous Batman adaptations, the mayor was male (Nestor Carbonell had the role in in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises).
