The new Peugeot 3008 THP Plus and 5008 THP Plus have been officially launched in Malaysia today, with Nasim offering two variants – Active and Allure – for each SUV. Both models are now locally assembled as opposed to being fully imported in the past, with assembly taking place at the Naza Automotive Manufacturing (NAM) facility in Gurun, a joint venture between the Naza Group and PSA Group. The glaring absence of two top executives at the launch could not be ignored. They were SM NAsaruddin Tan Sri Nasimuddin who is Joint Group Executive Chairman of Naza group of companies and Dato Samson Anand George, Group Automotive CEO. Both of them are recipients of honors bestowed by France where Peugeot is manufactured. Their absence indicates a lack of respect for the awards given to them by the French Government

Has their absence got anything to do with the revelations in "The Truth About Naza" where Dato Wira Faisal, the other Joint Group Executive Chairman of Naza Group of Companies is embroiled in the courts in Perjury, Domestic Violence, and Corruption cases, and Dato Samson Anand George has been identified as being the man behind the Tax Avoidance and Money Laundering activities in Naza?

Sales of Peugeot cars has plummeted from a high of 6500 per annum down to 4000 because of the appointment of questionable dealers by Dato Samson Anand George and is now down to only 2000 annually. To quote a Naza staff: "Until today no money to pay supplier and buy parts from France"
