I will say that the Monastery was my dream venue and is truly breathtaking, so don't let the negatives deter you from booking here, these are just things to keep in mind. The grounds are stunning and the place is actually very affordable compared to other venues in Miami. I booked this site in July for an October morning Wedding. If it were not for Carolina - one of the weddign coordinators there, i would likely have given the site a lower rating. She was the only person I spoke to who did not make me feel like a bother. I reserved and confirmed... this venue was perfect for my vintage spanish setting. The gardens are amazing and so is the structure. I would highly recommend this location. Just plain awesome, this is the most amazing place in town. I had Alexander Event do the catering, seating and floral decor. Easy to work with and the 2 ladies there are very flexible.
My husband and I fell in love with the Ancient Spanish Monastery. We had to go with them! Everything came out beautiful. All the guests loved loved loved it! The most beautiful venue in South Florida This is truly a beautiful venue. Perfect for small weddings, historic landmark makes for spectacular photos. Most Magical and Enchanted location in South FL Imagine yourself in a secret garden along with the oldest and most gorgeous romantic Spanish architecture. We had seen several venues and the moment I walked into the Spanish Monastery I KNEW I could not get married anywhere else! My guests are STILL talking about how beautiful... Beautiful and Unique Location I found the Ancient Spanish Monastery through a wedding magazine and went down to Miami to view with high expectations. When I actually saw the venue, it exceeded all my expectations. There are multiple locations which can rented out for a wedding ceremony and/or reception. I loved the venue. It is beautiful, clean and romantic. The landscape is green & well manicured. The staff was very helpful and cooperative . The wedding party rooms could use some help but my party got dressed at a hotel.
