New Albany’s Scenic Riverfront Amphitheater hosts many events. How to reserve the New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater: Interested in hosting an event at the riverfront amphitheater? The riverfront amphitheater can be reserved for events such as weddings, family reunions, 5k walk/runs, and concerts. The Board of Public Works and Safety approves all events held on the riverfront. To request permission, attend a Board of Works meeting as much in advance of your proposed event as possible. The Board meets every Tuesday at 10am in the assembly room on the third floor of the City-County Building, located at 311 Hauss Square. Contact the City Clerk’s office at 812-948-5336 to be placed on the agenda for the date of the meeting you plan to attend. If you have handouts associated with your request, please bring at least 4 copies with you to the meeting. It’s important to note that the individual or group requesting use of the amphitheater is responsible for set up and clean up, as well as providing their own tables, chairs, sound, and electric needs associated with the event.
