A romantic setting for a wedding ceremony, this space has a grand staircase for a memorable entrance by the bride and can accommodate up to 120 ceremony guests.With space for 30 to 150 guests depending on the type of service, the Museum Cafe has an outdoor courtyard that is ideal for an outdoor cocktail hourChapter House. A 12th century building from a priory in France, this unique setting accommodates up to 70 ceremony guests. With stone vaulted ceilings, this historic venue showcases genuine medieval architecture for lovely photos of the wedding day.Surrounded by lush greenery with a mosaic backdrop, the Stoddard Garden Court sits up to 120 guests for a wedding ceremony. Worcester Art Museum offers a list of approved caterers for reception dinners. Setup and take-down service and the services of a museum event facilitator and museum protective services are included with the venue rental.
Worcester Art Museum provides furniture and 140 chairs and standard tables for receptions in the Grand Renaissance Court and tables and chairs for up to 80 guests in the Museum Cafe.There is an additional fee for wedding ceremonies, which includes time for wedding rehearsals. Ceremony rentals include 70 chairs, except for ceremonies in the Stoddard Garden Court, which requires chair rental. Additional chairs and tables are available to rent for larger events.Worcester Art Museum holds a liquor license, and provides a bartender's services for up to five hours with the rental of the Grand Renaissance Court. Cash bar, open bar and wine service options are available. The Worcester Art Museum is home to numerous masterpieces that are available for viewing during the wedding reception. The Grand Renaissance Court is surrounded with art galleries, and gallery viewings are available for wedding parties held at the other venues on the property. WAM is unique, romantic, beautiful, and everything we could have hoped for on our wedding day. The Worcester Art Museum makes for a really unique and beautiful venue. We were married in the Chapter House, which was the perfect & intimate setting for our private family ceremony. Our much larger reception was held in the Renaissance Court and it was breathtaking! The Worcester Art Museum (WAM) with its Chapter House (a Gothic Abbey), and the Renaissance Court (dominated by a beautiful ancient Roman mosaic) was an esquisite and romantic setting for our wedding ceremony and reception. We wanted a wedding that would be simple but elegant... My husband and I had a very smooth and easy time working with Janice and the rest of the Worcester Art Museum staff. Everyone was very kind and responsive. We planned our wedding from California, and we absolutely wouldn't have been able to plan our wedding (site unseen!) We had our wedding at WAM this past weekend and the whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. Janice helped me through the planning process the entire time and answered all of my little questions. Kristen and the rest of the staff the day of were amazing, and so on... Felt like a Fairy Tale Our wedding reception felt like a fairy tale. Janice's attention to detail ensured all aspects of the event were planned. She addressed any and every question or concern with a friendly and fast demeanor.
