Whether you are having a party, a business meeting, a corporate event, or a picnic, we have many options to accommodate your needs. The atrium offers a friendly space for residents to gather and socialize with couches, tables, chairs, televisions, ping pong, pool, piano, and fireplace. Please Note: Only Residents of Independence may reserve facilities. All Oak Rooms may be rented individually or combined into one large room; all have individual or combined sound systems depending on room configuration. Audio visual equipment is available for renters to borrow for movies and presentations.




The Craft Room provides a space for crafts for our youth programs, and is available for children's birthday parties and small meetings. $10/Hour with a $5 discount every third hour. With space for hundreds of guests, it is easily one of the largest event spaces in the Lakewood and Cleveland, Ohio area. The industrial loft warehouse space with 14ft ceilings and tall windows is a wonderfully-raw and neutral place that can be personalized by our event clients. > Rent by the PieceThere are a number of different facility options depending on the type of event you wish to hold on the St. Clarence grounds. See below to determine which facility works best for you. This lovely handicapped-accessible hall has a capacity of 200-300 guests and is available for formal and informal events. It accommodates 32 octagonal tables which require a 90″ tablecloth; the chairs are metal folding. Amenities include enclosure with glass sliding doors, heating, a wall fireplace, stage, refrigeration, ice machine, outdoor barbecue grill and an uncovered deck overlooking a Metro Park wooded lot. There are 8 tables on the deck surrounded by plastic outdoor chairs. The Pavilion is not air conditioned but ceiling fans and glass sliding doors help to create cool breezes. Rental includes the room itself, tables, and chairs only and is available from 10:30 AM until 12:00 Midnight on the day of the event, with no exceptions to the ending time. The Terrace Room entrance is through a lovely trellised patio garden and is appropriate for smaller weddings, anniversaries, baby and wedding showers, First Communion parties, etc.




This handicapped-accessible facility is a beautiful room which can house events to a maximum of 150 guests, but proves more comfortable at approximately 135. Tables are 5 feet in diameter. The seating area of the Terrace Room is carpeted and there is a small tiled dance floor. While there are no provisions for cooking, there is an institutional size refrigerator, a stove, a microwave and a small ice machine.  Lessees provide their own food with the exception of weddings. This handicap accessible hall accommodates 350-400 guests at either round tables or 6 foot rectangular tables. The facility includes the room, tables and chairs, and a bar with an ice machine. There is kitchen access for warming of food and provision can be made for refrigerator access. The Main Hall includes a stage area for musical accompaniment and a dance floor. The mezzanine is a smaller handicap accessible area slightly above the Main Hall. It can be used with the Main Hall or as a separate hall closed off by sound proof accordion folding doors.




This hall can accommodate up to 125 people. It is not carpeted. There is a separate bar on this level with access to the ice machine. The lessee must provide their own coffee urns for non-catered events. ALL catered events must be coordinated by Ahern Catering, but lessees may bring their own food for other events such as parties, reunions, concerts, dances, etc. St. Clarence and Ahern Catering have an exclusive contract which means that no other caterer can be used or permitted on premises at St. Clarence. Weddings must be catered by Ahern Catering who has complete access to our calendar. They have a full catering menu plus a menu for trays that can be dropped off for the event. The lessee may bring in their own food or have Ahern cater any other event, e.g., showers, graduations, First Communions, reunions, birthdays, etc. Outdoor grills are the only provision for cooking; there are no facilities for inside cooking or warming of food. Facilities may be reserved for weddings and other catered events through Ahern Catering by phone 440-933-7500, e-mail or visiting their website.
