3 – 1×2 boards, 8′ long 1 – 1×4 board, 15″ long 1 – 1×10 board, 15″ long (you can substitute 3 – 1x4s joined instead if you don’t have a 1×10 laying around) 4 – 1×2 @ 26 3/16″ (Legs, both ends cut at 5 degrees parallel to each other) 2 – 1×2 @ 15″ (long point to long point, ends cut at 5 degrees NOT parallel to each other, bottom sides) 2 – 1×2 @ 11 3/4″ (long point to long point, ends cut at 5 degrees NOT parallel to each other, middle sides) 2 – 1×2 @ 10 11/16″ (long point to long point, ends cut at 5 degrees NOT parallel to each other, top sides) 2 – 1×2 @ 16″ (long point to long point, ends cut at 5 degrees NOT parallel to each other, bottom supports) 1 – 1×4 @ 12 9/16″ (long point to long point, ends cut at 5 degrees NOT parallel to each other, seat back) 1 – 1×2 @ 12″ (short point to short point, ends beveled at 5 degrees NOT parallel to each other, front) 1 – 1×10 @ 13″ (short point to short point, ends beveled at 5 degrees NOT parallel to each other, seat)

Build the sides as shown above. Drill pocket holes in all the horizontal boards ends, two per end. Mark the sides, clamp, and glue and screw together with 1 1/4″ pocket hole screws. Now here is where things get a little tricky. Drill pocket holes on both ends of the bottom supports, two per end. Mark the sides 3 1/2″ up. Then glue, clamp and screw with 1 1/4″ pocket hole screws the bottom supports to the sides. Center the bottom supports on the width of the legs. A right angle clamp would be super handy here, but I don’t have one, and was just fine. Drill pocket holes in the back of the seat. Attach with glue and 1 1/4″ pocket hole screws. Drill pocket holes on both ends of the front and attach to the tops of the legs with glue and 1 1/4″ pocket hole screws. The seat will sit at the back, leaving room for the legs at the front. Cut the seat so the ends are beveled at 5 degrees of square, with the seat length short point to short point 13″ long. On the underside of the seat, drill three pocket holes along each of the beveled edges.

Screw the seat to the sides. I finished mine by filling pocket holes with wood filler. It took three applications of wood filler to completely fill the holes. Then a thorough sanding with 120 grit sandpaper. Then primer and paint, followed by a spray on top coat. Add a strudy strap to the center and a safety belt (tip – use a dog leash or a belt) Children's and Kid's Room Furniture and Toy PlansStokke TRIPP TRAPP Accessories: Bringing Baby to the Table The Stokke TRIPP TRAPP highchair (starting at $250) was one of our most successful baby gear investments when my son was younger. In fact, as a four-year-old, he still uses it many times a day. So there was no doubt that when it came time to get a highchair for our daughter, we’d get a Stokke TRIPP TRAPP (plus, she couldn’t inherit her brother’s since he’s still using it!). Lucky for us (and her), there have been some great new additions to the Stokke TRIPP TRAPP line recently. The TRIPP TRAPP Baby Set ($90) is the key to using this excellent highchair right from the start.

Babies as young as six months can sit in the TRIPP TRAPP thanks to the addition of a special safety rail and a back support. Now the TRIPP TRAPP is the only seat you’ll ever need for baby. The TRIPP TRAPP Cushion (starting at $45) makes everything all the more comfortable for baby and even easier on the eyes for mom. Admittedly, I find things start to get a bit cramped with the addition of the Cushion to the Baby Set, but I think for a young baby it would be perfect and I know from experience that the cushion is great once the baby set is removed. Stokke has some specially coated cushion options (I have and love the Tales Pink one) for even easier clean up. The TRIPP TRAPP Table Top ($90) is my favorite new addition to the Stokke line. Unlike a highchair tray, which separates a baby from the rest of the family at the table, the Table Top allows baby to sit with everyone else. It attaches with innovative, low-profile suction cups that won’t budge from where you put them unless you want them to.

The lip around the edge of the tray catches wayward food and drinks. And there are interchangeable picture mats that go under the tray and offer unique, age-appropriate learning experiences. Stokke, a company known for thinking of everything, even includes an inspiration book to teach parents the best ways to use each template. Just because babies like to throw peas and snort water doesn’t mean they aren’t great table companions (heck, maybe it means that they are!). Our family, for one, is glad that Stokke is helping to bring all the littlest ones right up where they belong: at the table with everyone else. We’ve been using these iconic chairs ever since the kids could sit (and even sooner with Klara).

My youngest was 3 days old when she first “sat” on her Tripp Trapp, thanks to the Newborn set. I love Peter Opsvik’s ingenious design of the chair, that truly grows with the child. Love the clean lines, the versatility, bringing the kids to the family table. I am amazed by how great it fits into any interior, no matter the style. I value the fact that it’s made of wood and that anyone can find a color suitable for their home. It’s easy to clean and thanks to the additional accessories it can be used from birth, as mentioned above.

That being said, I am not the only one that has so much love for the Tripp Trapp’s design and functionality. As a matter of fact, Stokke is currently celebrating a milestone of 10,000,000 Tripp Trapp Chairs produced since 1972. You read right – 10 millions of chairs! That is why, the company decided to produce a very limited Tripp Trapp Anniversary Edition. The limited TTs are made of oak wood with a matte finish, exclusive metal details and each one has an anengraved signature from the designer himself, Peter Opsvik. There are only 2,000 chairs in each of the two colors – White or Black Oak available, each with its number in the production series.

The Tripp Trapp Anniversary Edition Chairs come in a beautiful box, with an authenticity card including the information and chair’s unique number. Biorąc pod uwagę wszystko co już napisałam, w mojej miłości do Tripp Trapp nie jestem odosobniona. Stokke świętuje właśnie wyprodukowanie 10-milionowego krzesełka (od 1972 roku). Firma postanowiła to uczcić stworzeniem jubileuszowej edycji Tripp Trapp. Limitowane krzesełka TT wykonane zostały ze szlachetnego dębowego drewna wykończonego matowym lakierem, mają metalowe elementy oraz wygrowany podpis samego projektanta – Petera Opsvika. Powstały w dwóch kolorach – White i Black Oak (biały i czarny dąb), a każdy kolor wyprodukowany został  w ilości 2000 sygnowanych i opatrzonych specjalnym atestem egzemplarzy. Some weeks ago we became happy owners of a beautiful Tripp Trapp Anniversary Edidion in White Oak (with a serial number of 0003/2000). I wanted to wait with unpacking it till Christmas, but I couldn’t!

So on the December 6th, Skt. Nicholas Day, I made myself a gift with unwrapping and assembling this beautiful anniversary piece of art. The chair came with a special, also limited edition cushion made of linen. To be honest I love it both ways – with and without it! The wooden chair is incredibly nice to touch and feel. The matte varnish makes it look so elegant. Again – it was Klara who will be the lucky owner of this beauty (priviledge of the youngest child, isn’t it?). I hope she will pass it on her own child one day. That’s the plan, anyway! Kilka tygodni temu dotarło do nas krzesełko Tripp Trapp w kolorze White Oak (sygnowane numerem 0003/2000).

© Kasia Rutkowiak / My Full House Tripp Trapp highchair/ krzesełko Tripp Trapp – Stokke (Limited Anniversary Edition available until the stock lasts / edycja jubileuszowa dostępna do wyczerpania zapasów), chairs / krzesła – Series 7 Fritz Hansen (Scandinavian Living), dining table / stół – If you like high quality baby and children products and are about to decide for a highchair for your little one, you might be interested , about Tripp Trapp vs. Stokke Steps.
