However, if your child self-stimulates using vestibular movements (rocking back and forth), this product might not be the best choice to meet your child's needs. Note: For children under 3 years of age able to sit independently, NEVER Use the Tray or Grab Rail without the use of the Early Pelvic Positioner (Early Pelvic Positioner shown above in Red is sold separately). The child should be secured in the chair at all times by the 3-point harness system. The Tray and Grab Rail are each not designed to hold the child in the chair. It is intended to help support the pelvis of young users who need minimal to moderate pelvic support to sit upright. The shape of the seating surface provides an anti-thrust seating surface to promote a neutral pelvic position. The high side walls provide posterior (back) and lateral support along the outside of the thighs. There is also a pommel to help keep the legs from crossing over each other.
