But at the very least she may have hoped to avoid becoming the target of a cruel (and hilarious) prank. It all started on Monday when Emma Taylor put her sofa up for sale in a post made public on the popular social networking site. Up for sale All she had to do was sit and wait for the offers to come pouring in. She wrote: "Anybody after a sofa? Inbox me pick up only St Annes asap cheers." And that's when Joe Cordingley stepped in. 'I need it for a project' Cheeky Mr Cordingley got in touch with Emma, asking her if the sofa was still available. She told him it was, and he asked if he could come pick it up. However there was one catch - he asked Emma to saw it in half, telling her that he needed it for a project.
That way, he would be able to squeeze the chopped up sofa into his Vauxhall Astra. He even offered to pay an extra £20. So she gets the saw out... Emma complied with Joe's request, sawing the sofa in half. ...but then he doesn't turn up to pick it up After sawing it apart, Emma told Joe: "U best flippin turn up for it." Justifying his actions Joe has told pals that he pulled off the prank because the sofa was "a piece of s***" and that he felt compelled to "step in". He added: "Look at it for f**** sake." It looks a lot worse now, Joe.
