IMO it looks more appropriate in our guest room than a pull out couch would. Murphy beds are cool but there's no way I'd spend that much money on something I'm not personally sleeping on. We had a futon before but it wasn't too comfortable; we have overnight guests maybe one weekend every other month and they seem to like the daybed better.

We even used C-clams and they eventaully worked loose. We slept on a daybed/trundle for two years. Some things worked some times. Nothing worked all the tiem. Depending on how many guests,who they are and how long they plan to stay i find camp cots with a self inflating air mattress on top work well and when done fold up and put away .. Walmart has the cot for around $30-$40 and they probably have the self inflating mattresses as well.
