Stayed overnight with 17 yr old son to atttend Nottingham Uni Open Day.This small Premier Inn was easy to find and vey welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for the receptionist who was well informed and had even prepared maps for Uni guests. Unfortunately the spare bed (was really a sofa bed) was very hard and you could feel the springs and the double bed was also very hard. Solved by puttting an extra duvet under the bottom sheet willingly provided by receptionist but a shame as our local Premier Inn in Brentwood has lovely soft but firm continental style latex or foam mattresses and the bed is the most important part of a hotel stay. Excellent abundant breakfast in restaurant exactly adjacent to hotel, plenty to eat for 17 yr old boy and very welcoming and clean. Had to pay full price so shame about the beds. Quiet room but no aircon so fan on all night and ground floor window set to "ajar only" for safety/security.
Close to Macdonalds, Sainsbury's and Pizza Hut, Retail Park location. Would use again based on location, friendliness and cleanliness so staff but not hotel chain get the marks. There was a fan in the room to keep the air moving but no aircon as is usual in most UK hotels. Luckily we are having an English Summer! Staff friendly and helpful. I went to Nottingham to visit the University. I had never stayed in a Premier Inn hotel before and was wondering if it was like some low price hotels very common in Brazil (Ibis or Formule 1). To my surprise it was much better than those ones ! The room is big, spacious and the bed(and pillows) excellent. There is a huge LCD TV in the room. The service was good. Phil gave us all the explanation about the hotel and was really helpful. Of course you will not find fluffy towels in the bathroom or bellboys carrying your luggage !
Premier Inn is exactly what you pay is what you get ! And I can say it is pretty fair. If all you want is a great nights sleep after being travelling/working during the day you will get that at Premier inn. During my next trip to the UK I will definitely search for a Premier Inn before making a reservation. i stayed at the premier inn in castle marina in nottingham from the saturday till bank holiday monday in may. i would recommend this premier inn to anyone as it is easily situated from the city centre and the trent vineyard church in easter park in lenton.the staff are all nice and friendly and polite and will help you with any problems or concerns that you may have while you are staying there.the premier breakfast is good too and you can have as much as you want and the staff are all frindly and nice and polite to you when you come in for your breakfast in the mornings and are very professional too as they call you sir or madam and they ask you if the room was all ok for you in the premier inn
Room Tip: ask for a room away from the restaraunt as the generator can be quite noisy at night. I come to Nottingham regularly - I used to live here. The location of this Premier Inn is great - walking distance to the Castle and the Trip to Jerusalem pub and then into the city centre. Others must think so too because quite often it is full!. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who asked. Good service and welcoming staff and easy parking. Room Tip: All the rooms are good. The location is not noisy so all the rooms are quiet. We were on the top flo... This premier inn is much better than some others. You get a proper bath, there is loads of free parking, there is a Sainsbury's about 5 mins walk away and the tv is HUGE. The beds are also comfortable there are extra pillows and the staff are lovely and so helpful. You can order a paper, get more tea and coffee stuff and the breakfast is next door and is plentiful and all you can eat. If you select continental you can have porridge.
We like this premier inn very much. Room Tip: Ask for one well away from the extractor fan from the restaurant next door - there are cooking smell...
