Track 2000 was set up with three aims – to encourage positive environmental reuse, to train and educate people with special needs and to alleviate poverty by supplying household items at low prices.
Expect to find items like beds, settees, wardrobes, mirrors, dining tables and chairs and electrical items there. Where: Resource House, Penarth Road, Grangetown, Cardiff, CF11 6NG and Castleland Street, Barry, CF63 4LL They supply Frenchic chalk and mineral paint but they also sell furniture that they have upcycled. Where: 104 High Street, Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, CF62 7DS As well as second-hand books, vintage clothing, medals, records, army surplus and comics, you can also find bespoke lighting and furniture over three floors in this converted warehouse. Where: West Canal Wharf, Cardiff, CF10 5DB Here they buy and sell modern and antique new and used furniture. Where: 34 Clare Road, Cardiff CF11 6RS This vintage lifestyle shop is Cardiff city centre and sells all sorts of lovely homewares but if it's upcycled and shabby chic furniture you want then this is a good option. They explain: "We try our best to provide a free and efficient collection service for all your unwanted household items. "We then clean them up and carry out any maintenance that the items may need before finding them a new home at very low and affordable prices." Where: 18 Venture Wales Drive, Bedwas, Caerphilly, CF83 8GF One of Cowbridge's biggest stores, this Aladdin's Cave is home to 30 vintage, antiques, curio and hand crafted stalls They say there is an ever-changing range of stock "with an array of items you'll find hard to find anywhere else, so we encourage our customers to visit often." Where: Church Street, Cowbridge, CF71 7BB It's a discount warehouse where they offer a variety of new and used goods for the home and garden, as well as office and industrial items. You'll find shabby chic furniture here too. Where: Unit 16-17 South Pontypool Industrial Estate, New Inn, NP4 0LS Expect to find a selection of clocks, china, furniture, glass, jewellery, linen, paintings, pottery, silver, collectables, mirrors, lighting and more.
Where: 6 Market Street, Hay-on-Wye, HR3 5AF You'll find a range or pre-loved furniture at this city centre store. It raises money for PDSA, which provides free veterinary care to the sick and injured pets of people in need and promotes responsible pet ownership. Where: 52 The Kingsway, Swansea, SA1 5HQ Lollybird Vintage specialise in sourcing vintage and retro homewares, furniture, clothing and accessories. The owner says she is "in love with vintage, retro and antiques – the more quirky the better." She said: "I source items which I sell in stalls, local fairs or online and provide a bespoke personal shopper service so if you after an item for yourself, your home or an event please get in touch." Where: Swansea and the surrounding area You can buy vintage trinkets, art and upcycled goods from Bootys Loote, which is based in Swansea but the owner Natalie works from home. Here you'll find a good selection of pre-owned and brand new furniture and home appliances; from suites, sofas, chairs, dining sets, rugs, beds and wardrobes to an array of electrical items including small electricals, TVs, Hi-Fi systems, washing machines, fridges and dishwashers.

They are also an official stockist of Frenchic Furniture Paint. Where: Woodfield Street, Morriston, Swansea Kindle House is a lifestyle and interiors shop which focuses on upcycling furniture using Annie Sloan fabric and chalk paint. They also run furniture painting techniques workshops. Where: 74-76 Commercial Street, Ystradgynlais This two-storey antiques haven is brimming with thousands of unusual vintage finds and period antiques. Where: Back Lane, Narberth, Pembrokeshire, SA67 7AR At various dates throughout the year, an antiques market is held at The National Botanic Garden of Wales. With more than 60 stands, pottery, furniture and jewellery are among the treasures on offer. In 2016 there is one planned for Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2. Then there is the vintage fair where the emphasis is on affordable vintage clothing and accessories.
You will find also vintage collections of homewares, furnishings and retro furniture, mixed in with vintage inspired jewellery. In 2016 there is one planned for Saturday, May 7. Where: The flagship antiques fair is held in The National Botanic Garden of Wales and the vintage fair is at St Peter's Civic Hall in Carmarthen. Here they revive and repurpose vintage furniture and homewares and they sell the quirky pieces. Where: 11 Market Square, Narberth, SA67 7AU They say that there are lots of quirky, vintage, and antique finds on offer. There is also the Edenshine Restaurant. It's open all year from Tuesday to Sunday, as well as bank holiday Mondays.
