Once taken out of its packaging the topper took a while to fully `puff-up` and did have a couple of ridges. After a few days the ridges seem to have gone. Slight odour from topper at beginning (as with most things new) but this soon goes. As I sleep a lot on my side I find the topper heavenly - my hips and shoulders are very grateful for the support that the topper offers, however my I have bought 3 mattress toppers now one for myself which improved my brick mattress a great deal then I got one for my daughter who say`s she loves it and get`s a great nights sleep so I got one for my other daughter and she say`s she don`t know how she slept without it, so all in all a brilliant purchase on all 3.
If you don`t know if to have the CharCOOL or the 7.5 topper go for the charcool as the other one can make you feel a bit hot the CharCOOL is just right.
