These socks are cushioned where it counts, like forefoot and heel areas. They are also thick and durable and will definitely last a while. They are snug at first but loosen up slightly when worn. Agree that these are great socks, but they were a bit too thick for my ski boots. I prefer a thinner sock, makes for much more comfortable skiing. Otherwise, however, I loved them - very soft, not itchy at all, and the bright pink color is really fun.
