There are a number of reasons to choose natural and organic mattresses and bedding. Besides eating organic, we feel that "sleeping organic" is a simple, important way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Our environment is filled with chemicals and toxins, including a lot of the mattresses on the market today. The mattress you are currently sleeping on could be emitting toxic, cancer causing chemicals. An organic mattress is the foundation of a healthy bedroom and an easy, impactful place to start since we spend almost one third of our lives in bed. Our best selling natural and organic latex mattresses are superior in comfort, supporting the body and providing pressure point relief where needed.

These healthy mattresses, and all of our organic bedding, use natural fibers such as organic cotton and organic wool, which have been found to promote a sounder sleep. Organic mattresses made from these materials, especially latex, are extremely durable. They last longer than conventional mattresses, which make organic latex mattresses a great value for the price. Natural and organic products are better for the environment. The products we offer are grown, raised, and manufactured without the use of chemicals and with minimal impact on the environment. We offer a nice range of products, from the economical to the luxury, so that we can best meet the needs of everyone. Organics are expensive and do not easily fit into everyone's budget. With our low prices and our more economical lines, we are able to provide healthy options for our cost-conscious customers. We also offer beautifully made high end products for our customers who place a premium on luxury. The Natural Sleep Store Denver

A link has been posted to your Facebook feed. Long before the dishes are done or the Seahawks and 49ers have kicked off the NFL's late game; long before the turkey coma has passed and the leftovers are packed up, thousands of Northern Colorado shoppers will head in search of deals on everything from televisions to Barbie dolls. The retail jungle that used to gear up in the wee hours of Black Friday will be in full swing this Thanksgiving, when dozens of national chains open their doors, many staying open for more than 24 consecutive hours. While many condemn retailers for usurping a day formerly reserved for family and berate shoppers for caving in to commercialism, big-box stores say they are meeting consumer demand. The 44.8 million people who shopped on Thanksgiving last year — a 27 percent increase from 2012 — back that up.Still, it's hard to know whether shoppers are out because stores are open or whether stores are open because shoppers want to be out.More than football: Thanksgiving Day Weekend getaways"People can blame the retailers all they want, but it's ultimately the consumers' decision to support it," Jason Connell wrote on the Coloradoan's Facebook page. "

If people didn't go shopping to get these deals then there wouldn't be a market for it and retailers would stay closed and these deals would still be there on Black Friday."Last year, shoppers spent more than $57 billion on Black Friday, about 2 percent less than they spent in 2012, according to the National Retail Federation. The decline was attributable to more people shopping on Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday. For some, the late-night or early-morning shopping is less about deals and more about a shared experience with family and friends; an annual event as important as turkey and stuffing. This will be Erin Curtis' eighth or ninth year, she says, shopping with a sister on Thanksgiving. The Fort Collins native usually starts at the Outlets at Loveland, where they'll hit eight or nine stores. By the time they're done, they will have visited 15 or 20 stores, she said.Nov. 27: Run before the turkey at Thanksgiving Day Run"We love it and will continue to do it," said Curtis, 30. "It's not about the deals to be scored, it's about having fun."

After spending a traditional Thanksgiving with her family and having a little down time, "we get a second wind and head out with our coffee."When Curtis finishes the shopping extravaganza with one sister, she'll go home to sleep for a few hours. "A lot of times I will go back out with another sister," she said. This year, the NRF forecasts holiday sales to increase 4.1 percent, the first time in three years that sales may increase more than 4 percent."Recognizing the need to keep household budgets in line, we expect shoppers will be extremely price sensitive as they have been for quite some time," said NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay in a press release. "Retailers will respond by differentiating themselves and touting price, value and exclusivity."Black Friday shoppers out looking for the best deals, however, may be disappointed. Thanksgiving is officially better than Black Friday when it comes to getting deals, according to a report from Adobe Systems. But shoppers don't have to wait until then to take advantage of the cheapest prices.

New training, jobs help close Fort Collins wage gapsPre-Black Friday sales have already started and Adobe says online prices will hit their lowest point on Thanksgiving with an average discount of 24 percent.Walmart rolled out its holidays savings on Nov. 1. "Helping families deliver an amazing Christmas doesn't start on Black Friday, it starts now," Duncan Mac Naughton, Walmart's chief merchandising officer said in a statement announcing more than 20,000 rollback prices.Low prices or not, Black Friday will always have its detractors."Black Friday can be painted green and strewn with hundred-dollar bills and I wouldn't waste a second of my energy standing in the cold so I could buy a television I don't need for a hundred bucks or a useless gift that somebody else doesn't want," wrote Cody Landry, 47, of Fort Collins.USA Today contributed to this report. As Black Friday sales continue to encroach upon Thanksgiving, sale start times are staggered. Here's a look at when area retailers will kick off their annual door-buster sales.

Here is what some had to say on both sides of the issue:•"Please keep in your thoughts those who are required to work their shift irregardless of the day, your police officers, fire department, emergency and inpatient health care, dispatch folks, nursing home staff. The worst shift I ever worked in 23 years of nursing was on a Black Friday in an emergency department." •" I will not shop on Thanksgiving day.

That has traditionally been my holiday to host our extended family. I worked in a big-box store for 11 years. The first year that I had to work on Thanksgiving day was the last year that I worked for that company. I now very happily work for a small business that really does honor family time.•"Black Friday has lost its luster. It used to be a fun thing to do with friends and family once a year, with door prizes, giveways and special deals. Now those deals have already started and door prizes seem to be a thing of the past, so I do most of my shopping online now and stay warm. •"I used to love Black Friday shopping when stores opened at midnight. I was able to spend all day with family and friends (and) then head out after all were in bed. Now that stores are opening early in the day I have chosen to end my Black Friday shopping. Not to mention the last few years the 'sales' aren't good at all!" •"I won't shop on Thanksgiving. Close your stores and give your employees the day off." •"I will not be shopping at any of the big-box stores from the day before Thanksgiving until after Christmas.
