With the Sleep Number R5 RV mattress, we can enjoy the same quality sleep with 5 baffles just like home and separate adjustments for each of us. The Lance takes a full sized Queen mattress but it only has access from one side as the other side is up against the front of the trailer. This made assembly a bit more difficult but the instructions were clear. The most difficult step was removing the original mattress from the Lance in the first place. Some have criticized the Sleep Number mattress as a glorified air mattress, but to be fair the components and construction are premium quality compared to a typical air mattress. The air chambers themselves along with the mattress cover, compressor, etc. are all well designed with quality materials. Another advantage of the Sleep Number system is you can replace the comfort layer or even add to it since the mattress is assembled by the end user (the cover/outer layer zips apart). So, if you want to buy a 2-3" memory foam layer (from any brand) you can add it to the Sleep Number system. Unrelated to the product itself, but concerning Camping World, they actually stock this mattress in their own warehouse, so when you order the delivery and shipping is very timely. I had the mattress in less than 3 days after I ordered it (compared to ordering directly through the manufacturer which they say can take up to 2 weeks). So, great job Camping World on efficiently processing the order and shipping it out in a timely manner.
