But before I went, I checked Yelp and Yelp led me here. I walked in and James was finishing up on the phone and I was just plopping on mattresses while he finished up. Then he came over to assist and sure enough the education began. They have a variety of different priced mattresses with all sorts of different features (it's almost like buying a car), from the low hundreds to upwards of a thousand.
James asked us about our budget and we went on from there. I ended up falling in love with a lovely queen sized latex pillow top mattress that I swore was going to be $3000.00 or more, but it wasn't. It wasn't even half of that and then I got it on sale for $1000.00. I did go home and do a Google check for latex pillow top mattresses and similar mattresses were retailing for 2-6 times more. Yes, that's right, I saw one for 6000 dollars. It's comfy, but damn I'm not ready to drop that much cash on a bed. Anyhow, James offered to get it delivered same day and while they were running a little behind schedule they did indeed deliver same day (by the owner nonetheless!). The customer service here is top notch and the level of product knowledge they have cannot be beat by any of the local retailers. If you have to drive a distance, it will be worth it just for the experience, let alone the price. Also, it makes sense to go through a private shop, as opposed to a "big box" store. Want to beat anyone's advertised price? That's hard to do when every bed you carry is an exclusive line that no other store is going to have, plus "big box" mattress stores have huge overhead and they don't get bigger by not paying those extra bills, the money for which comes out of YOUR pocket.
