The full series has been announced, and it includes classics like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck all the way to newer, more recent characters like Buzz Lightyear and Mr. Incredible. I’m sure there were some heated conversations on what to include, and it’s also surprising to see what didn’t make this first group. While it seems like the Disney Princesses had been left to their own line, Ariel made the cut, so it will be interesting to see if more princesses make it to the second group (assuming this first group is popular enough to warrant the demand for more Disney minifigures).
Personally, I’ve got my eye on the Buzz Lightyear figure, but it’s luck of the draw (or you’re the weirdo in the middle of Target trying to feel out the character parts in the bag). Und dennoch dürfte es weltweit Fans geben, die versuchen, jene Figuren zu erstehen. eBay und Co. lassen schon jetzt grüßen. Was also ist besonders an jenem neuen DFB-Team aus Minifiguren? Nun, zum einen sind die Gesichter und Frisuren facettenreich. Und zum anderen gibt es ja wahrlich so manch Fußball-Fan, der womöglich den aktuellen Weltmeister durchaus gerne im Kinder- oder Arbeitszimmer versammelt haben möchte. Bei der Auswahl an Spielern hatte Lego das „Duplo-Sammelaufkleber“-Problem – sprich: Natürlich sind die Planungen vor Monaten gestartet, als noch gar nicht feststand, wer zur Fußball-Europameisterschaft in Frankreich fährt.
Es können immer mal Verletzungen oder „besondere Ereignisse“ dazwischen kommen. Und am Ende entscheidet Jogi Löw, wer auf den Zug aufspringen darf. Aber ein Manuel Neuer, Jérôme Boateng oder Bastian Schweinsteiger sind freilich gesetzt – und kicken in Kürze auch in so manch Lego City. Wir konnten fünf „Überraschungstüten“ auspacken, sprich „Blindbags“. Und wie es der Zufall so wollte, haben wir nun einen ersten Doppelten: Max Kruse (siehe: „Besondere Ereignisse“). Womöglich gibt es ja mit Bundestrainer Löw, der ebenfalls als Minifigur erhältlich sein wird, noch eine klärende Aussprache. Die Figur ist jedenfalls gelungen. Besonders gut gefällt mir André Schürrle: Der WM-Finalheld (welch‘ Zuspiel auf Mario Götze!) ist perfekt getroffen. Bei der Minifigur Sami Khedira bedarf es ein wenig Fantasie um das „Vorbild“ zu erkennen, aber die spanischen Wurzeln zeichnen sich anhand der Hautfarbe ab. Bei Marco Reus habe ich sogleich gedacht: Ja, das ist der Borusse – selbst die Mimik geht vollends in Ordnung.
Nur die Frisur hatte ich nicht sogleich auf dem Zettel – aber die wechselt ja zuweilen mal. Der Vollgas-Fußballer ist hoffentlich bei der EM dabei – und bleibt diesmal vom Verletzungspech verschont. Die Trikots kommen richtig gut zur Geltung – und die drei Streifen nebst Adidas-Logo dürfen nicht fehlen. Tja, und über jene Figuren, die wir noch nicht in Händen halten, urteilen wir später – aber der „Papierform“ nach ist allen voran Jogi Löw „Weltklasse“. Alle Minifiguren kommen mit einem schicken Aufsteller des Weges: Diesmal nicht in schwarzer Farbe, sondern in weiß – samt vier Sternen. Klar, vier WM-Titel konnte die deutsche Fußballnationalmannschaft schon gewinnen. Die Sammelserie „Lego Minifigures – Die Mannschaft“ ist ein Volltreffer und ab dem 14.
