🎬📷Shirin Neshat (Persian, born 1957) is an Iranian visual artist who lives in New York City, known primarily for her work in film, video and photography.

Her unbelievable artwork centers on the contrasts between Islam and the West, femininity and masculinity, public life and private life, antiquity and modernity, and bridging the spaces between these subjects.

She is the one who talking about women and their lives in Islamic world. 

In Turbulent, Neshats 1998 two-screen video installation, two singers (Shoja Azari playing the role of the male and Iranian Vocalist and composer Sussan Deyhim as the female) create a powerful musical metaphor for the complexity of gender roles and cultural power within the framework of ancient Persian music and poetry.
