For warranty purposes, normal wear requires that a purchaser’s mattress be subject to proper handling and continuously supported by a matching foundation or adjustable base with a proper bed frame sufficient to support the collective weight of the mattress and foundation.
Failure to have a proper bed frame may invalidate the limited warranty. A proper frame requires a center support or a minimum of 5 cross slats with a center support that extends to the floor. For king and queen mattresses, a center support that extends to the floor is required. Covers the following items during normal wear: Indentations of greater than .75" not associated with the use of an improper or unsupportive foundation or adjustable base. Broken or loose support elements. Compression or unstapling of support elements. Broken or loose grid top. Splitting of the wood frame. Loose, bent or defective wood beams. Sagging not associated with use of an improper bed frame. Does not cover items such as but not limited to:products sold “as is”; or hotel, motel or institutional bedding. Any mattress found to be in an unsanitary condition. Transportation and inspection costs. Normal body indentations or sagging measuring less than 1.5" for quilted top mattresses.
Normal changes in softness and recovery time of the memory foam and latex materials, which do not affect the pressure-relieving qualities of the mattress. Damage to the mattress, foundation or cover due to misuse or abuse, including but not limited to: soiling, stains, burns, tears or liquid damage. Damage associated with use of an improper bed frame, foundation or adjustable base. Replacement of another piece in sleep set, unless that piece is also defective.
