If deemed defective in workmanship or material, your mattress and/or foundation will be repaired or replaced, at Serta’s option, at cost shown on the Serta Warranty Schedule (in brochure) plus transportation and inspection costs. For warranty purposes, normal wear requires that a purchaser’s mattress be subject to proper handling and continuously supported by a matching foundation or adjustable base with a proper bed frame sufficient to support the collective weight of the mattress and foundation. Failure to have a proper bed frame may invalidate the limited warranty. A proper frame requires a center support or a minimum of 5 cross slats with a center support that extends to the floor.
For king and queen mattresses, a center support that extends to the floor is required. Covers the following items during normal wear: Indentations of greater than .75" not associated with the use of an improper or unsupportive foundation or adjustable base. Broken or loose support elements. Compression or unstapling of support elements. Broken or loose grid top. Splitting of the wood frame. Loose, bent or defective wood beams. Sagging not associated with use of an improper bed frame. Does not cover items such as but not limited to:products sold “as is”; or hotel, motel or institutional bedding.
