For information on the mattress you slept on, call Serta’s Guest Purchase Program at 866-290-SHEEPHas anyone bought a mattress from MGM Grand? Would love to hear your experience and if you have been happy with your purchase. Every time we are in Vegas we love the bed at MGM Grand and I am now mattress shopping so considering it. Especially now that they have the $1000 off thing going. My only concern is that I think in Vegas I could sleep in the tub and be comfortable as I am either so tired or drunk by the time I get back to the room. No, but they are made by Serta. There's a website that will find the specific mattress. I realize they are made 'especially for the hotel' but can't help thinking that there is something comparable available through the manufacture at significant savings. Do you know who makes the MGM mattress? I've dabbled some in the mattress industry (good money...margins are usually in the 55-62 percent range) and would be hesitant to buy an MGM Grand mattress without knowing who made them.

For traditional innerspring mattresses, it's hard to beat the Beautyrest Black series (although I do like Stearns and Foster pillow tops). Do you know if MGM Grand mattresses are innerspring or hybrid technology? I have never bought a hotel mattress, but I have made a few large item vacation purchases and I pretty much have had buyers remorse on every one of them. Something about being on vacation puts my shopping sense into a different and less rational mode. Everything I purchased on the road I could have gotten a better deal on at home had I done a little homework. I have to believe there is premium price on that mattress because it has a MGM label on it. I would do a lot of homework looking around in Cincinnati and I bet you come up with something comparable at a better price. Thanks so far for the responses guys. I have done quite a bit of research on this. Amazingly with the $1000 off that MGM has right now it's matching most of the other comparable beds I have found. MGM's bed is made by Serta.

They have a place on their site to contact to check what hotels have what beds. When I spoke to the rep MGM uses the Serta Presidential Suite II Pillowtop. Unfortunately I can't find this mattress around Cincinnati to go try out. And MichaelonLI I am leaning with what you said. The Vegas mindset could easily be playing with my mind. Back in 2008 I was tempted to buy the Mirage bed after an amazing stay. They sold them downstairs. After seeing the price I did the same sort of research and they too were built by Serta. I ended up getting a Vera Wang by Serta that served me very well and costs a little more, but it had more features, at the time I liked. Since then I moved to the Sleep Number, and would'nt turn back. -:- Message from TripAdvisor staff -:-TripAdvisor staff removed this post because it did not meet TripAdvisor's forum posting guidelines with prohibiting self-promotional advertising or solicitation. We ask all of our members to keep their forum messages free of self-promoting advertisements or solicitation of any kind - members affiliated with any tourism-related business should not include commercial contact information or URLs in their forum messages.

Sams club sells the presidential sleeper mattresses, 2 kings complete only 1500 delivered. It ruins going to hotels though because your mattress at home is always better. I read somewhere before that different retailers sell the same beds under different names to make it harder to comparison shop. So maybe at Slumberland it's a Sealy Super Mattress, but at another store it's a Sealy Mega Mattress Plus, creating the idea that you can only get your chosen mattress at that store. If you know the name of the mattress, ask about it at your local store and they may have it under a different name, or be able to steer you to one that is very close.
