Dining / Stacking / Office / Meeting / Public / Auditorium Indoor upholstery / Leather / Timber The Series 7 designed by Arne Jacobsen is by far the most sold chair in the history of Fritz Hansen and perhaps also in furniture history. The pressure moulded veneer chair is a further development of the classic Ant chair. The four-legged stackable chair can be seen as the culmination of the use of the lamination technique. A technique refined to perfection during the Twenties and Thirties by Søren C. Hansen, the grandson of the founder, Fritz Hansen. The visionary Arne Jacobsen exploited the possibilities of lamination to perfection resulting in the iconic shape of the chair. Series 7 represents the chair in the Fritz Hansen collection with the widest range of applications. It is lightweight and stackable and offers options such as armrests, castors etc. Choose from an extensive palette of colours and finishes, fabric or leather upholstery or wood qualities. Series 7 is available with a chrome or a black chromed base in three different heights.

Series 7 is available in a wide range of coloured ash, lacquer or in natural veneers: Maple, Beech, Ash, Oak, Oregon Pine, Elm, Cherry, Walnut and Dark Stained Oak. The Chairity Project 2015 is the second edition of Cult’s esteemed charity event that invites leading Australian and New Zealand creatives to reinvent an iconic chair design. Each creative was given complete freedom to reinvent the chair which is exhibited and auctioned off to a charity of the creative’s own choice. Building on the sucess of the inaugural Chairity Project 2014, Cult is expanding the concept this year by increasing the line-up of creatives from a cross section of industrial design, architecture and art as well as floral and jewellery design. These include renowned talents such as Dinosaur Designs, Akira Isogawa, David Trubridge and Zambesi. The diversity of creatives taking part in the project result in a wide range of chair reinventions and a captivating exhibition. The Chairity Event 2015 ties in with the 60th anniversary celebrations of the iconic Series 7 chair, which has also been released in two limited anniversary editions and in a new colour scheme.

Fritz Hansen Series 7 chairs in two limited editionsTHE Series 7 chair designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen in 1955 is one of the most recognisable — and copied — dining chairs of the 20th century. To celebrate the design’s 60th anniversary, Fritz Hansen has released two limited edition versions: one in dark blue lacquer with powder-coated burnished legs and the other in pale pink lacquer with 24 carat gold-plated legs. Available in 2015 only. The new veneers for the Series 7 collection. , design director of Danish furniture manufacturer Fritz Hansen, was recently at the Corporate Culture showroom in Sydney to launch a new series of veneers for the Series 7 chair. Designed in 1955 by Arne Jacobsen and with more than seven million chairs produced since then, the Series 7 chair is a classic Danish design. It is a laminated, stackable chair with a chrome base and is available in many colours and finishes. The new veneers include maple, ash, beech, oregon, pine, cherrywood, oak, elm, walnut and dark stained oak.

Each timber is treated differently to show off its individual texture, pattern and colour – for example, matt lacquer is used over light wood to retain purity of colour and grain. The series 7 was designed specifically to be made from wood; the design is pure, simple and easy to understand, though it employs complex geometry to achieve this. The result is a timeless design that will outlast seasonal changes in fashion. Products of this quality become heirloom pieces, handed down through the generations. The Fritz Hansen Series 7 chair is available in Australia from Corporate Culture. At Stools & Chairs, we work with our manufacturers that result in the best quality Replica Furniture.
