Senior Engineer for Big Data & Heuristics в NVIDIA
We are now looking for a Senior Engineer for Big Data & Heuristics:
The team is building the data platform aiming to gather and process the metrics coming from millions of traditional PC systems, mobile devices and distributed Web services. In the next couple of years our client base is likely to grow over 100 million users. The scale of the system and the business needs require combining batch-based processing with partial real-time calculations of some selected metrics. The projects we’re working on include crash and performance tracking of the client applications, user behavior profiling, user base segmentation and campaign targeting, smart personalized recommendations etc. We’re looking for a talented and ambitious engineer to help us grow our solutions for the data collection, data analysis and recommendations generation for the millions of gamers from all over the world. Our technology stack relies on a combination of industry standard Big Data tools (like Hadoop/Hive, Spark, ELK, Tableau, C*, Avro) and proprietary software components.
What you’ll be doing:
- Establishment of the data analysis processes with the goal of formalizing the user targeting features and the user behavior analysis
- Design and implementation of a scalable and extensible recommendations framework (including the frontend and the analytical components)
- Integration with the system for conducting of targeted user surveys, analysis of the survey results
- Analysis and development of the user profiles
- Coordination between multiple distributed teams and end-to-end feature delivery tracking;
- Documentation of the processes, policies, data formats, test cases and the expected results.
What we need to see:
- Ability to write readable, testable, maintainable and extensible code (primarily Java), 5+ years development experience
- Experience with using and integration of Big Data tools (including Spark, Hadoop, Hive, C*)
- System design/architecture skills for the cases which combine analytical batch-based processing and low-latency services
- Passion for efficient algorithms and data structures, advantages/limitations of using them in distributed environments
- Communication, presentation, reporting and teamwork skills
- Upper-intermediate oral and written technical English
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Understanding of A/B testing approach
- Knowledge of the technology stack for the statistical data analysis (R, SPSS, etc.)
- NoSQL DBs experience
- Scripting languages knowledge (Python/Perl/Ruby)
- Machine learning methods
- Passion for PC/mobile gaming is highly desired
