Our 4 HospiceShops are major contributors of funds to financially support Hospice Taranaki so that our services remain free to patients and families/whanau. Make sure you have plenty of time when you pay us a visit. There is a surprise around every corner and plenty of bargains for all - something for everyone. People on lower incomes and people who could afford to buy new, shop at our HospiceShops anyone looking for a bargain shops at the HospiceShops and definitely anyone looking for retro shops at the HospiceShops. Staff and volunteers pride themselves on shops which are clean and well presented. We have in stock and accept donations of the following; 112 Tukapa St, Westown, New Plymouth - 06 753 8640 Bright and friendly with a wide variety of merchandise everyday there is new stock in the shop. Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm and Saturday 9am - 1pm. Donations of goods are very welcomed there is a donation "drop off bay" that is open Monday - Friday 7.30am - 7.00pm, and Saturday mornings 7.30am - 1.00pm.

They are meant to be seen as symbols of success, although as yet it is unclear exactly who would be sitting on them. The chairs, which cost a total of £150,000, are to be used during graduation ceremonies (file picture)A senior university source said the total price tag stands at £150,000 – a quarter of the total £600,000 budget for this year’s graduation programme.Nick Varney of the UCU teaching union said the decision was a mistake at a time when staff were being laid off. ‘Splashing out £150,000 on seven chairs really is quite extraordinary,’ he said.‘It is even more incredible when you consider that financial problems have been given as a reason for job cuts.‘If the university needs to save money it should look at its travel and expenses bills and cut down on chairs.‘Anyone who thinks chairs are a symbol of success is more out of touch than we feared and should probably not be running a university.
