Over 1,000 Garage Sales were held over 2 weekends as part of Second Hand Saturday. A massive contribution from all those who either held or attended a garage sale. Thank you all for participating! Second Hand Saturday, the biggest garage sale day, was held on the 24th September 2016, with a leftovers sale on the 1st October. This annual event has been held 8 times previously.  Residents from Ballina Shire, Byron Shire, Clarence Valley, Kyogle, Lismore City, Richmond Valley and Tweed Shire Councils can register to hold their garage sale on Second Hand Saturday and receive free advertising and promotion.




Second Hand Satuday 2016 encourage more than 850 people to register to hold garage sales, approximately 200 of which registered for the following weekend as well. " Helped teach my great nephews environmental values and work ethics-they were rewarded with 100% of the proceeds."
