Our specialist furniture and electrical store has now been open over a year and was a new venture for the Charity's retail team. It's going really well. Unlike our general charity shops we are able to take items they cannot. If approaching from Cornwall, Plymouth or Torbay on the A30 or A38, continue to the M5 and exit at either junction 29 or 30. At junction 29 you'll find the Red Park and Ride (Honiton Road – EX2 7NL), or use junction 30 for the Blue Park and Ride (Sowton – EX2 5GL). Both will take you almost to our front door. When you get off the bus, walk forward a few steps and you'll see the shop ahead of you. If you want to continue driving to the shop, from either of these junctions go straight past the Park and Ride, and then follow signs to the city centre.
Closer to the centre, follow signs to John Lewis car park. John Lewis Exeter is very close to Exeter Central station (New North Road entrance) and Exeter's bus station. We aim to give at least 1% of pre-tax profits to community initiatives. We will continue to seek out projects that support the John Lewis Foundation at home and abroad. The charities we're supporting from November - January 2017 are: YMCA Exeter - YMCA Exeter supports over 1000 young people every year in their time of need and this year they are celebrating their 170th Birthday. Our donations will help towards daily running costs for cooking groups and sports activities. Exeter & East Devon Down's Syndrome - They organise regular social events and offer support in areas such as education and health issues. New members are welcome. Our donations will help fund dance and drama sessions which are very popular. The Wildlife Trusts - This Christmas, John Lewis is partnering with The Wildlife Trusts to help protect and restore our nation's wildlife and its natural habitat.
