04/67 White Walls Grayers Reviewer: from So Cal Love them, wish they had more colors I would buy another. Difficult finding that sweet spot size, either too small or too large. Awesome shoes, very comfy. They add a feminine look. They will match well both jeans and a dress. I'm definitely keeping these. 06/64 Legend Sneaker Standard Reviewer: from Kansas City Great casual sneaker and super comfortable. I struggled to find a simple sneaker like this that had removable insoles and hit the jackpot with this one! 08/63 Hermosa Plimsoll Standard I think there was dip in quality with this brand a year or two ago, but that appears to be rectified; the quality of these is great. This is a comfortable, easy wearing shoe. Recommended if you like cloth sneakers. Gave it "moderate arch support" instead of none because the liner is good, and removable, but these are flat sneakers. Was really excited for these shoes. Was super let down with how narrow they were.

These shoes are amazing! I don't know why they don't have more reviews. The shoes feel like they will stand up to my abuse for a least a year. 05/65 Westwood Tennis Shoe Reviewer: from Denver, CO. These are so much better than your standard canvas shoe. If you read the reviews for this shoe some mention how snug the shoe is and how the eye holes may bite into your foot. This is what happened in my case. I'm usually a 11 1/2 and had to exchange for a size 12. 08/63 Hermosa Plimsoll Core Reviewer: from scottsdale, arizona Very cheaply made shoe. I like the style but its not comfortable at all for what it costs. If it were only $45 dollars, i would buy these. They will be getting returned. I really like these shoes a lot. I removed the insole since I like minimalist footwear (Inov8, Salming, etc) and my foot really sinks in inside the rubber sole by doing this. If you aren't into that thing the soles work fine, it's just my preference. It does create more room and made the shoe look more stream lined which I think is another plus.

My foot measures around 10 3/4" and the size 11 was perfect. These are pretty cool shoes. Dress em up or go casual. 02/64 Baja Slip-on Standard Very comfortable and nice looking shoes. Extremely light weight shoes that look and feel good. 10/67 Ocean Park A-Line Reviewer: M from San Francisco Purchased in September 2016, and they were already starting to tear on the big toes by the end of October 2016. Not worth the price ($200), save your money! Really, really unhappy with this shoe. Other than the tearing in the toe, they fit great, and we're comfortable. Such a bummer, and such a waste of $$. Reviewer: from morton grove, il very cute shoe, but too narrow in toe, too loose in heel. Reviewer: from Brooklyn, NY I bought a pair of these in size 10 after seeing that they fit more-or-less true to size. I tried them on and they seemed okay, but after wearing them for a day it became clear that they were too small and were giving me horrendous blisters on my heels.

Thankfully Zappos replaced them for free and the 10.5s are much better, if a little narrow. In terms of quality, I've never owned a pair of plimsolls that lasted longer than a season. They wear out quickly! So potential buyers should understand what kind of product they're considering. Shoe perfectly fit my need, and is very comfortable. There is better support than many similar sneaker type casuals. Only issue is I feel they will become worn looking very quickly, but that's life in the big city. I highly recommend them, I use them daily, they are my go-to shoes. I did not buy at Zappos but here they are cheaper. I purchased these shoes for an upcoming trip to Miami and was not disappointed! They are very comfortable and I've received numerous compliments on how they look.I have a very high instep, so the elastic really helps. My fingers are getting arthritic and tying shoes can be difficult, but these shoes are great just slide my foot right in there. I often wear them without socks and they are always comfortable.

Wish there were more color options. Comfortable shoes right out of the box and look great. I'd say my feet stay dry longer and stay cooler in hot weather -- and never get smelly! -- when wearing these barefoot compared to any other similar sneakers I own. The one problem I have is with the insole; after the first few wears, the insole under my big toe on both shoes has caved in so I have to constantly shift my foot to the outside of the shoe. But I sill wear them a few times a week, so that's not a deal breaker. I alternate these with the SeaVees Ocean Park Espadrille. We don't rent or sell your personal information to anyone. Born in 1964 when the youthful American spirit was at its pinnacle, SeaVees is the continued discovery of the California dream. They are endlessly inspired by the coolest place on the planet, in the coolest of times. Each style is derived from an influential date in 1960s California culture with an insistence of product authenticity and integrity. Think rebel cool, aesthetically pleasing and creative ingenuity.

Now think of these things with 40 years of perspective, appreciation and contemplation. SeaVees is a journey through which to understand California’s vital role in influencing American culture. SeaVees is the story of Authentic California. I’m from New Jersey, but first came to California in 1976. Freshly divorced and bummed out, my mom decided to follow some family friends out here to try and drum up a new life. We moved into a tiny apartment in La Mesa and I started third grade at Lemon Avenue School. I was on my own, no siblings to help out or talk to. I had a tough time fitting in and finding friends. There was a kid named Ethan whom I really liked, but he moved a few months after we became friends. I couldn’t get over the always beautiful weather, it seemed too good to be true. Classroom doors were left open and kids ate their lunches outside. Skateboards were everywhere, bell bottoms rang loudly, colorfully, and there was a looseness about the entire California lifestyle that my introverted, east coast nervous system wasn’t yet ready for.

I guess my mom felt the same way, as she yanked me out of school and we made the cross country trek back to Jersey after a year. She was born and raised in Manhattan and just wasn’t cut out for the endless sunshine. Something about the California mindset never left me though. A dream started forming in my head that maybe one day I’d move back. How many winters standing at a freezing bus stop at 6 am was a human being designed to endure anyway? As I grew up and discovered my personal identity through music, I found that I was more attracted to California bands and artists than anyone else. The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, The Grateful Dead, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jackson Browne, Ry Cooder, Little Feat, The Beach Boys. This place seemed to provide endless potential to whoever planted their flag here. West coast musicians looked cooler than everyone else too. Iconic images of David Crosby in Laurel Canyon, Big Brother at The Fillmore, and Sly Stone in a white Cadillac blazing down Highway 5 seared into my brain.

I read about Neil Young making “After The Gold Rush” in a house in Topanga Canyon. It sounded like the most exotic locale on the planet. The Stones mixed my favorite album, “Exile On Main Street”, at Sunset Sound in Hollywood. Doug Sahm sang psychedelic love songs to Big Sur. The Dead lived in a communal band house in Haight Ashbury. Two of California’s greatest photographers, Jim Marshall and Henry Diltz, seemed to capture every epic moment of it all. I also became enraptured with Dogtown skate culture and the work of Glen E. Friedman. I tried surfing, it got under my skin, and Ron Stoner’s 60s photographs burned an indelible impression into me. Finally, I learned that Fender guitars were made in Fullerton. That was it, my mind was made up. One day I’d return to California, make peace with the place, and ultimately make it home. I realized that despite my east coast upbringing, my heart beats west coast all the way. After living and making records in LA for many tumultuous years, I moved to Ventura in 2010 in order to deepen my relationship with the ocean and get out of Babylon for a spell.
