In 1921, first of October RCA (Radio Corporation of America) creates WJZ radio station.
AT&T in second March of 1922 founded in New York WEAF radio station. But in 1926 WEAF was bought by RCA.
In 1926, RCA created NBC on the base of WJZ, WEAF and other radio stations.
In 1927, NBC was divided to NBC Red Network and NBC Blue Network. Difference between this two networks was in programm. Red gave commercially sponsored entertainment content and Blue not sponsored news and cultural programs.

In May 12, 2004 General Electric and Vivendi merged their divisions NBC and Vivendi Universal Entertainment and created media conglomerate NBCUniversal.
As of March 19, 2013 NBCUniversal was fully owned by Comcast Corporation.
