Tortuga Music Festival - Enter to win tickets today! Mattress store's 9/11 sale commercial stirs outrage For about a millisecond, it seems like your standard, hype-filled mattress commercial. But after that, the 20-second Miracle Mattress ad becomes painful to watch. The commercial, which was posted on YouTube three days before the anniversary of 9/11, shows three employees at the San Antonio, Texas mattress store promoting a mattress sale, using the national tragedy as a time hook for the sale. “What better way to remember 9/11 than with a twin tower sale?” store owner Cherise Bonanno says in the beginning of the video. “Right now you can get any size mattress for a twin price.” According to Buzzfeed, the video was uploaded to the company’s Facebook page, but deleted soon after. A user reportedly uploaded the video to YouTube following its removal from Facebook. The commercial ends with Bonnanno playfully pushing the other employees into two towers made of mattresses. The video has received more than 1 million views on YouTube so far.

We’re Miracle Mattress, we make miracles happen.”

She continued to say: “It was a stupid idea that we sent out, and we apologize for our stupidity, and we really hope you forgive us.” A news release announcing the indefinite closing of Miracle Mattress stores was posted after the backlash, according to San Antonio's WOIA TV station.
