He describes the facility as being "Like a little boutique hotel with hospital level care" and he just loves taking his wife out on walks around the grounds. These Registered Nurses have chosen to work in the residential care setting. They have a professional, caring approach to resident care and liaise with families regularly. We have a fantastic team of health care assistants who have chosen to work at Remuera Rise. They work with our residents to make sure that the care they deliver is of a high standard.
Our Diversional Thereapist (Fi) is passionate about her very important role here at Remuera Rise. She designs and delivers the activities programme. Everyone is encouraged to join in the activities and all levels of abilities are catered for. Fi is able to cater her activities to meet the needs of our residents. A monthly activities calendar is displayed in each resident's room. We welcome relatives and visitors to join in too! Visits on a 6 weekly basis. We can refer you to a dietitian as required. At Remuera Rise we know how to have fun! As we are a smaller facility the preferences of each resident is catered for. If there is something that you would like to do, please let us know! We provide an evidence based exercise programme and all residents, staff and visitors are invited to participate! There is always plenty of laughter at this session! Some other activities include: BBQ, Big print books, Breakfast in bed, Board games, Bowls, Bingo, pet therapy, Electric beds, Entertainers, evidence based exercise programme, cooking, happy hour, hand pampers, special events, van outings, art and craft, movies and icecream. Activities programmes can be tailored to meet the needs of each resident. Meals are per Menu Choice of time of Main meal at Midday or 5.30pm We have our own chef who cooks delicious and nutritious meals. There is a menu which is on a 12 week cycle.
