6– Body Side Retainer 9– Door Rail Retainer Removing the Rear Window 1. Unclip the Sun Visors and move them out of the way to reveal the Header Latches. Release, but do not unhook the Header Latches from the loops on the Windshield Frame. 2. Open the Swing Gate, and pull the first 3 inches of both Sail Panels from the body channel of the vehicle on both sides. It helps to pull down the 4-Bow a bit for this step. 3. Remove the Rear Window Retainers from the Swing Gate Bar Brackets. 4. Unzip the window completely starting from the passenger side. 5. Grab the Swing Gate Bar, rotate up and pull straight back from theSwing Gate Bar Brackets. Carefully store it in a safe place, so it won’t get scratched or dirty. 1. To remove the Side Quarter Panel Window, first release the rear and top Velcro flaps. Then, unzip the window starting from the lower corner. 2. Once the window is unzipped, release the Door Rail Retainer and the Body Side Retainer with a gentle pull.




3. Remove the window and repeat this process on the other side. Store both windows in a safe place, where they won’t get scratched or dirty. 1. Place your hand on the top of the 4-Bow and pull down on the material to untuck the Lower Rear Sail Panel Retainers. Fold and place the Sail Panels on top of your Wrangler Unlimited. 2. Next, unhook the Header Latches from the loops on the windshield frame and grasp the Header and 2 Bow and lift the top back towards rear of the vehicle. An extra pair of hands will help make this easier. 3. Fold the top material in an accordion-fold so the plastic retainers form the shape of a “W”. Rest the Header on the top of the rear portion of the deck. 4. Before lowering the top, be sure to open the rear Swing Gate to prevent possible damage to the rear center-mounted brake lamp. 5. Release the Side Bows by pressing down on the Latch Pedal above the front of the rear door. Push the top back to disengage. 6. Grasp the Side Bow and the 2 Bow area and slide the top rearward.




7. Slide the side bows off of the door frame track and lower the top down into the back of your vehicle. 8. As you’re lowering the top, gather the material and fold it with an accordion-style for function and a neat appearance. Keep all materials inside the vehicle. 9. Be sure to tuck the Check Straps in so they don’t hang outside your vehicle. 10. To secure the top wrap the Sunrider® Straps around the Side Bows and through the Body Side Retainer Slot and Velcro back onto itself. 5 Body Side Retainer 2. Open the Swing Gate and pull the first 3 inches of both Sail Panels from the body channel of the vehicle on both sides. It helps to pull down the 3-Bow a bit for this step. 3. Remove the Rear Window Retainers from the Swing Gate Bar brackets. 5. Remove the Swing Gate Bar and window by rotating up and pulling straight back from the Swing Gate Bar Brackets. 1. To remove the Side Quarter Panel Window, first release the rear and top Velcro flaps.




2. Then, unzip the window starting from the lower corner. 3. Once unzipped, release the Body Side Retainer and the Door Rail Retainer. A gentle pull should do it. 4. Remove the window and repeat the process on the other side. Store your windows where they won’t get scratched or dirty. 1. Pull down on the 3-Bow to release some tension. Untuck the Lower Rear Sail Panel Retainers from the Soft Top. 2. Fold and place the Sail Panels on top of your Wrangler. 3. Pull the Drip Rail Retainers from the doorframe and slide the plastic sleeves back and over the Sunrider® Links. 4. Unlatch the Side-Bows from the door rails by pressing on the Latch Pedal from behind. 5. Grasp the Side Bow behind the header and lift the top back towards the rear of the vehicle. An extra pair of hands will make this easier. As you lower the top, pull the loose material rearward as it folds on itself for a neat appearance. Keep all materials inside the vehicle. The Side Bows should fold to form a V-shape.




6. Tuck material inside vehicle and close the swing gate.How To Remove the Soft Top on Your Jeep Wrangler Raising and lowering the soft top on your 2-door or 4-door Jeep Wrangler is fairly simple. With the help of an extra pair of hands, you will be enjoying the fresh air and open sky overhead in no time, the way a Jeep is supposed to be driven down the road. Step 1: Unclip the sun visors and move them to the side. Lift up on the header latches above the windshield frame to release them from the loops. Step 2: On the outside of the Wrangler, unzip and remove the quarter windows and store them somewhere safe so that they don't get scratched or wrinkled. Step 3: Remove the rear window from the Wrangler by unzipping the zipper from right side to the left side and store it somewhere safe. Step 4: Pull down to release the Rear Sail Flaps on the rear corners of the Wrangler and fold them neatly onto the top of the soft top. Step 5: Walk back to the front seats of your Wrangler and locate the latch pedals above the door jams on each side.




Press down to release the side bows. For 4-door Wranglers only: There is an extra step after releasing the latch pedals. Locate the Sunrider® Links on top of the Wrangler and push down on the latches to release it.   Step 6: Pull the soft top back in an accordion (w) style and tuck in the material neatly.       Step 7: Pull the soft top back up towards the front of the Wrangler. Slide the plastic sleeves over the side bows and push down to lock the top in place.   Step 8: Pull down the Rear Sail Flaps and secure them into the rear window retainers.   Step 9: Line up the rear window with the Swing Gate Bar Brackets and push them into place by pushing in and rotating. Zip it back into place from the left side to the right side.   Step 10: Tuck the swing gate bar retainers into the body of the Wrangler and make sure the rear window is secure.   Step 11: Attach the quarter windows to the Velcro and zip the window back up into place. Tuck in the Door Rail Retainers. Tuck in the Window Body Retainers starting from the back working your way to the front.
