Black Friday 2016 doorbusters try to tempt holiday shoppers to buy early and often on November 20, 2016 at 5:00 AM, updated CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Retailers used to be quite secretive about their Black Friday bargains, worried about revealing their holiday strategy too early and tipping off their competitors. Thanksgiving Day newspaper inserts touting their once-a-year doorbusters used to be locked away until just before delivery. But then some of their Black Friday ads were "leaked," either accidentally or intentionally, prompting a frenzy among retail websites to trumpet which big-box stores were going to have the deepest discounts. Now that the battle for holiday shoppers has spilled over into Thanksgiving, most Black Friday promotions are revealed by retailers themselves as they still try to persuade shoppers to visit their stores first. Here are some of the most tempting offers revealed so far: Thanksgiving/Black Friday store hours: 7 a.m. Big Lots, Dollar General.

Bank, Pier 1 Imports. -- Best Buy has an LG 60-inch LED 2160p Smart 4K Ultra HDTV for $599.99 (down from $999.99); a Best Buy gift card of up to a $250 with the purchase of and billing agreement for an iPhone 7 smartphone; and up to 55 percent off of Lego Dimensions building sets. -- Big Lots has faux leather two-piece sectionals for $589 (down from $699);
Perfect Sleeper Benson firm queen mattress sets for $269 (normally $399); and 62-inch electric Grand Fireplaces for $499.99 (usually $599.99). -- Cabela's is giving the first 600 customers ages 18 and older at its Avon store an envelope that could include outdoor products, firearms, Cabela's cash cards, or other prizes. (Firearm winners are required to complete and pass a standard federal background check to get their the firearm.) -- JCPenney has a KitchenAid Artisan 5-quart stand mixer for $279 (regularly $500); a Hotpoint 3.8-cubic-feet stainless steel basket washer or 6.2-cubic-feet electric dryer for $293 each (usually $449 each); and a Samsung 26 cubic feet 3-door French door refrigerator for $994 (normally $1,999). -- Kohl's has a 2-carat total weight diamond ring 10K gold for $999.99, plus $240 Kohl's cash (normally $5,995); a Canon EOS Rebel T6 DSLR camera with wifi connectivity, a camera bag, an 18-55mm lens and 75-300mm lens for $449.99 ($749.99); and an LG 55-inch 4K ULED Smart TV for $499.99 (instead of $749.99).
