We look forward to welcoming you to Hervey Bay in the future. My wife and I stayed a one bedroom apartment for 4 nights, the apartment had everything that was needed to make our stay comfortable. The apartments are very secure and require a key tab to access any floor in the hotel, and the garage had a remote operated door again providing great security. The staff were incredibly helpful, and welcoming. The location on the esplanade is fantastic, and there are many restaurants within walking distance. We will be staying here again on our next visit to Hervey Bay. « Well worth it » We have stayed in a few apartments in Hervey Bay and this is probably the best so far. It's in a good position, the rooms are large and spacious. Great kitchen well equipped. Within walking distance to cafés pubs and shop. Well, thank you very much, most appreciated. Great place to stay, very central and unit was extremely well appointed and spacious. The only down side was that the air conditioning unit was located on the balcony adjacent to the main bedroom. This was rather loud when it cut in and out. Thank you for your great comments apart from the air-con unit, unaware of this design fault of positioning however if you can advise us which unit we will arrange a technician. Hope to welcome you again to Allegra. « Not welcoming to visitors » Unfortunately our time at this resort was not as pleasant as expected. We arrived on a Sunday, let ourselves in after instructions via message on phone,(reception doesn't work on Sundays) found apartment very nice and comfortable. On the Monday we had to check in at reception and found the receptionist rather surely, I felt that she had been there too long and didn't want to deal with the public. We parked in the car park at designated spot, only to have the neighbouring person leave a note on our car as the wheel of our car was on the white line.
Apparently most of the apartments are privately owned and occupied, they are particular with their car parks and let any visitors know of this. It certainly didn't feel welcoming. On the bright side, there is a great Italian restaurant alongside the resort which we enjoyed. We can only sincerely apologise if your experience was not as expected. We feel that your comment about ‘ the receptionist’ is unfair for an online review site. Parking is rarely an issue as guests generally park within the lines. The apartment was very well equiped . It is close to the sea. Don't wait for services from the reception. It is often closed. And if you ask for a towel for the pool, they will charge it onto your account. « Loved Room 206 Grand Mercure Allegra Hervey Bay » We have stayed at the Grand Mercure Allegra Hervey Bay a number of times and each stay has been very enjoyable. We love the swim up rooms in summer but Room 206 in the cooler months is fantastic. Doors and windows can be left open to let the fresh air in and the views of the ocean are lovely.

Located across the road from the beach, but entrance isn't in the Esplanade! Keep in mind they are apartments, privately owned, but marketed by Accor. Reception closes at 6pm, and wasn't open when departed at 7am. Warm reception on arrival, and would stay there again « Grand Stay @ Grand Mercure Allegra Hervey Bay » excellent accommodation, spacious, clean and very relaxing. Perfectly located near 2 wonderful restaurants and beach across the road. The inground pool with apartment swim up facility is such a treat. We really hope to welcome you again at Allegra and thank you for your lovely feedback.
« Stay at the Allegra » Well where do I start. The location was fantastic and the rooms where great. We had our own spa outdoor in the court yard but we weren't advise of the hours of restriction of use of the spa. Wasn't aware that there was no change of towels for the 4 days that we stayed there and there was a cost to get a change. Considering that we paid top dollar to stay I would have thought that we would have been giving free towels. Pool was fantastic and gym was good too. Across the road from beach access Would have been nice to have a pool bar open Thank you for your thoughts, Allegra is a well situated fully self contained apartment complex. If guests are staying for more than 7 nights a service is included. Towels and linen are provided and extra towels are available at a small cost. There is a laundry in every apartment. There are guidelines for spa usage in the compendium and at the spa itself. All we request is that the spa not be used between 10pm and 7am which is reasonable for the consideration of the apartments next to and above the Garden spa apartments.
