Not just for the play park go and explore to the left on a bear hunt and find the kitchen . My children live coming here lots to do and see. Amazing walk ways and a lovely friendly cafe to take the children for a ice cream or a small snack. Great place for kids to let off steam. Nice cafe and pleasant walks for the more sedate amongst us. Also great for cyclists with extensive pathways and the Castle Eden railway line.. I come to the woods quite regularly to walk my dog. Its a long walk from end to end.dog walkers and cyclists. For families with small children. .it has a good outdoor play area..this is close to toilets and a small cafe and gift shop. During the past few years a lot of trees and growth... There are several tracks to follow off what was the old railway line and the station is now a cafe. There had been a lot of rain the night before and the tracks were like a quagmire. The maps and signs were few and far between and not that great some of the sign posts were missing directions and the...

Park is fab for bikes, walkers and families wanting a day out. the park itself has a fabulous play area and the cafe is very tasty,,although it is a bit on the small side The woodland Park is excellent with one main route which extends 2-3 miles. There are off shoots to the main route and one walk to the pond is very good. The feeling of being in the country and not just out of town is experienced. Well worth a visit Spent a couple of hours here on the recommendation from a friend, you could spend a whole day here doing a lovely walk and having a picnic. The areas are really well kept and clean and the children's play area is brilliant. The cafe was average next time I would take my own refreshments. The woodland park is based around an old railway line, which has been converted to a cycle track on route No. 1. It was great to be able to cycle to seaham one weekend, then stockton the other on the old railway lines, without cycling along roads. Also amazing checking out the old railway architecture.

Defintely worth a cycle, especially... Visited here in half term and we really enjoyed it. Took our 5 year old daughter and puppy with us and we all walked from the Sedgefield side to Thorpe Thewles ( quite a walk ) the railway cafe was a welcome sight as all quite ready for a sit down by then. The cafe had plenty of choice and...What are you searching for? Start your search below, and don't forget, it's free to place an ad for sale with us!
