Leading software developer Blizzard Entertainment Monte Krol shared photos of a gift from the company, received in honor of 20 years of experience. He was sent a designer helmet in a wooden chest with a carved Studio logo.
The headdress resembles the helmet of the Lich King's Reign, but Krol noted that it is a collective image, not a replica. According to the programmer, the design uses the distinctive features of different Blizzard games, including Diablo and World of Warcraft. Krol worked on the latter more than others, including as a voice actor for Goblin NPCs.
In 2020, Blizzard Entertainment employees have already shown gifts that the company gives out for years of service. For two years of experience, the employee receives a stylized mug, for five years-a sword. For a full decade, the reward is a shield, and for 15 years — a ring. It is not yet known what kind of gift the company will give to employees who have worked in the company for 25 years.
