The Mercury-mass exoplanet KIC12557548b discovered by Kepler space telescope, with a possible cometary dusty tail formed by the ejected material, has drawn researchers' interest. The cause for the variations in the transit profile has yet to be fully understood. In this project a planet-tail evolution model combined with MCMAX, a radiative transfer modelling tool is used to investigate the possible cause for the variability in its light curve profile. The objective of this project is to investigate the transit process through numerical simulation model and possibly compare it with the observation results.
