Privacy Policy

Dear Users,

ProChain Pte.ltd (hereinafter referred to as “ProChain” or “We”) respects and is committed to protecting the privacy of the users (hereinafter referred to as “You” or “Users”). When you use Prabox, we will collect and process your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as “the Policy”).

We recommend that you read carefully and understand the Policy before your use the product (hereinafter referred to “Prabox”). Important information such as disclaimers will be in bold font.

Prochain may modify the Policy from time to time, and will post the most up-to-date version on Prabox to replace the old one. Your continued use of the services following modifications to the Agreement constitutes your consent to the modified version. Once posted, it comes into effect automatically.

You understand that the Policy and other relevant rules apply to Prabox and DApps developed and owned by Prabox.

I. What information do we collect from you?

Please understand that we have collected the following information to ensure your better experience of the product, and that we attach great importance to protecting your privacy. We strictly follow the principle of “legitimate, proper and necessary” when collecting your information. Also, please know that your experience in Prabox may be affected if you refuse to provide relevant information.

1.1 We will collect some of your personal information such as mobile device information, operation record, transaction record and wallet address.

1.2 To provide you with customized services, we will collect information such as your name, debit card number, mobile number, e-mail address, etc.

1.3 Please be informed that your Prabox wallet password, private key, seed phrase and Keystore will not be synced to the server. Therefore, Prabox cannot help retrieve them for you.

1.4 In addition, you understand that when you require access to some specific services of Prabox, we will ask for your authorization before colleting more personal information. If you choose not to agree, we consider that as a waiver of those services.

1.5 If you skip to a third-party DApp, it may collect your personal information. Prabox will not hold any of the information collected by the third party.

1.6 To the extent permitted by law, Prabox may collect and use your personal information for the following reasons without asking for your authorization or permission:

1.6.1     For state security or national defense security;

1.6.2     For public safety, public health or other major public interests;

1.6.3     For criminal investigation, prosecution, trial or execution of judgment；

1.6.4     The information collected by Prabox is your own disclosure to the public;

1.6.5     The information collected by Prabox is legally disclosed through legitimate channels such as news reports and government disclosures;

1.6.6     For maintaining the security and compliance of our product and services, for instances, to discover and handle product or service failures;

1.6.7     For other conditions stipulated by law;

1.7 We collect Users’ information in the following ways:

1.7.1     You provide information to us. For example, your name, mobile number and debit card number that you register on the “Me” page, the e-mail through which you send us a feedback, or any other information you provide when requiring access to a specific service;

1.7.2     We collect information during your use of Prabox, such as the your mobile device information and your operation record;

1.7.3     We copy some or all of your transaction records through the blockchain system, but they are all subject to the records of the related blockchain system.

II. How do we use your information?

2.1 We match you and your wallet through the unique serial number of your mobile device;

2.2 We send you important notices promptly, such as software updates and changes to the service agreement and the Policy;

2.3 We provide you with the “Fingerprint Login” option in settings, enabling you to manage your digital tokens more conveniently and more safely;

2.4 We process your feedbacks through collecting information about your public wallet address and the provided mobile device;

2.5 We collect your information for internal audit, data analysis and studies, so as to improve our services;

2.6 According to the Prabox Service Agreement and other rules, Prabox will manage Users’ behaviors based on the collected information of Users;

2.7 We will use your information in a way stipulated by law, or to cooperate with regulatory agencies.

III. How can you take control of your information?

You have control over your information in the following conditions:

3.1 You can import wallet to Prabox, or export your digital tokens in Prabox wallet to other digital wallets. Prabox will show you the imported wallet’s information;

3.2 You understand that you can exchange the type of your digital tokens, make a transfer, and receive money through the “Wallet” service;

3.3 You understand that you can conduct the following operations through the “Me” service:

3.3.1     For “Contacts”, you can view and modify your contacts from time to time;

3.3.2     For “System Settings”, you can choose to close “Fingerprint Login”, indicating that you choose not to use the Touch ID service provided by Apple;

3.3.3     For “Me”, you do not need to provide your name, mobile number, debit card number, etc. unless you require access to certain specific services;

3.3.4     For “Submitting Feedbacks”, you are encouraged to send us your questions or advice for improvement, and we are happy to communicate with you and make continuous progress.

3.4 You understand that when you require access to certain specific services of Prabox, we will ask for your permission before colleting more personal information. If you choose not to agree, we consider that as a waiver of those services.

3.5 You understand that due to the open-source nature of blockchain system, neither you nor we have control on whether to publicize your transaction records. Your transaction records are transparent to the whole blockchain system.

3.6 You understand that when you skip to a third-party DApp from Prabox, the service agreement and the Policy will no longer apply. As for your control over your personal information on third-party DApps, we recommend that you carefully read and understand their service agreements and privacy policies before using their services.

3.7 You have the right to ask us to update, change or delete your relevant information.

3.8 You understand that we can collect your information without your authorization under Clause 1.6 in this Policy.

IV. We may share or transmit your relevant information.

4.1 User information collected by Prabox within the territory of PRC will be stored in servers within PRC. If Prabox needs to transmit your information to a server overseas, we will obtain your authorization in advance, and conduct the cross-border transmission in accordance with relevant laws and regulations while keeping all information confidential.

4.2 Prabox will not share or disclose your relevant information to a third party, except in the following conditions:

4.2.1     We have obtained your permission or authorization in advance;

4.2.2     The information is your own disclosure to the public;

4.2.3     The information collected by Prabox is legally disclosed through legitimate channels such as news reports and government disclosures;

4.2.4     We only share with our related parties what we deem necessary and are bond by the purposes stated in the Policy;

4.2.5     We provide the information in accordance with laws and regulations, or at the request of relevant administrative and judicial agencies;

4.2.6     When we need to transfer User information due to mergers and acquisitions, Prabox will require the receiving party to continue to be bond by the Policy.

V. How do we protect your information?

5.1 If Prabox stops to operate, we will stop collecting your information in due time and publish an announcement on the platform. We will delete or anonymize all User information within a reasonable period.

5.2 In order to protect your information, Prabox will adopt data security measures to enhance internal compliance, strengthen staff training on information security, and set security permissions on relevant data.

VI. How do we protect the minors?

6.1 A minor may only use services provided by Prabox under the guidance of a parent or guardian;

6.2 We recommend that parents and guardians of the minors should read the Policy, the service agreement and other rules carefully before guiding the minors to use Prabox.

6.3 Prabox is committed to the confidentiality and security of the minors’ information in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

VII. Disclaimer

7.1 Please note that when you get to a third-party DApp through Prabox, the third-party’s privacy policy will apply. The collection and use of your information by the third-party DApp is not controlled by Prabox, nor is bond by the Policy. Therefore, Prabox cannot guarantee that the third-party DApp will take measures to protect your information at the request of Prabox.

7.2 You should select and use a third-party DApp cautiously and protect your personal information. Prabox assumes no responsibility for any other third-party DApp’s privacy protection.

7.3 Based on the current technology, Prabox will try its best to take reasonable measures to protect your information from being divulged, altered or damaged. Since Prabox uses wireless data transmission, Prabox cannot ensure the privacy and security in the transmission process.

VIII. Others

8.1 If you are a User out of PRC, you should fully understand and comply with all relevant laws and regulations in your jurisdiction when using Prabox’s services.

8.2 If you have any question while using the services provided by Prabox, please contact us by submitting your feedback on Prabox;

8.3 You can view the Policy on Prabox. We recommend you check the Policy every time when you log in.

8.4 Any non-Chinese version of the Policy, translated from Chinese, is for Users’ convenience only, and there is no intention to modify any clause or term. All non-Chinese versions shall be subject to the Chinese version if there is a conflict between the Chinese version and the translated version.

8.5 The Policy comes into effect since Feb 10, 2018.

For matters not covered in the Policy, please check and comply with the announcements and rules published by Prabox from time to time.
