This is semifinal rematch in this Challenge cup and looks like already
everything is decided after big Hoors win at home 28:16. But it is not
real picture about both teams quality since before the game Hoors were
just 4 goals favorites at home and thanks to very bad display of Ostrava
they achieve big win and now are set similar favorites even in away game
where can afford up to 11 goals defeat and still advance in finals.
Exactly I think they will not mind even loosing this game since already
did big part of the job at home and even if they somehow decide to end
up victorious I doubt it will be again with big score. Hoors is in the
middle of Sweden play offs where had tough first game before 2-3 days
which they won by 1 goal away against Skovde and will want too keep some
energy for next game. They will still be cautious since hosts are not
weak team like first game result probably suggests and they already made
one huge 27:14 home win against strong Polish team Elblag and with that
win overcome 5 goals deficit from first game. Before that Ostrava had
easy and huge wins but against very weak opponents but all of this big
wins give them right to think it is still not over and can force some
miracle. I doubt that will happen since Hoors is experienced team, but I
see big motivation on home side and their coach statements are that will
do their best and expect much better performance than in first meeting
when played equal for 20 minutes after which collapsed with 0:6 run and
later in second half home side added 6 goal more advantage. I think
Ostrava will try to at least win for the fans and exit the competition
with positive result and Hors will don’t mind about the score and as
game will approaching the end and their qualifications more and more
certain will start big rotations by guests. Game should finish with
Ostrava satisfactory win but even if I am wrong and Hoors will win
again this time should be very close since resistance by hosts will be
much bigger. It is interesting that this teams met each other also in
the past in same competition but in 2013/2014 season and both games
finished with 1 goal away wins when Hoors advance only thanks to more
scored away goals since their away win was 25:24, while home loss was
22:23. Beside teams are very changed in rosters I doubt quality
difference raised that much on Hoors side to be favorites in away game
and when don’t need the win at all.
