The fund supports early stage, high impact small businesses serving marginalized workers who face challenges in accessing capital -- from agriculture producers in India to shopkeepers in Vietnam. By the end of 2015, companies in the fund had already improved the livelihoods of 1.5 million people. Our employees have a history of rallying around issues and causes that matter to the communities in which we operate. They share their time and expertise in many different ways - from hosting mentoring workshops for young adult entrepreneurs to judging apps coded by girls participating in a global STEM competition. Employee teams fundraise for their favorite local charities, work together to recommend organizations for eBay Foundation grant support, and plan green events and activities.Additionally, our matching gifts program encourages employees to support the nonprofit organizations of their choice, by matching both financial contributions and volunteer time.
