Recently I listened to a show on the radio about how watching too much pornography can lead to sexual addiction. It was interesting information and gave some good reasons why we should be more aware of what we're watching. Yet, there's one thing that always gets my goat when it comes to these things, and that's when someone makes the claim that porn is harmless. porn movies So, what effect does this have towards those folks really having on them?

Is viewing porn a harmless pastime because you think it's simply a harmless form of sexual activity? Or is it somehow being used to lure more in and groom them into sexual activity? The research seems to indicate that there is a darker side to pornography. So, could porn actually be hurting us?

There is actually good evidence that suggests that there is a link between viewing porn and sexual assault. It's not the same thing as pointing fingers at the porno addicts themselves, but that's what I hear from other victims. These women say that watching porn first and later engaging in "acts of the flesh" afterwards is what leads to an assault. The sad part is, it might be too late before the woman understands what she's done and that it's now too late to stop it. So, that's why I have some suggestions for the ladies out there: if you're watching porn, make a conscious effort not to watch with the intent to commit sexual assault.
